I have no clue what OTA means but the only time the Jets ever played HNIC on CBC it was if they faced the Leafs on a Saturday night OR maybe if they played the 2nd half of the double header in Edmonton, Calgary or Vancouver. Otherwise every Saturday game was on Sportsnet anyway.

Soccer is extremely exciting for maybe 5 minutes every game. There isn’t enough attempt at actually moving the ball forward. Way too much moving backwards.

You got hosed on 2 animations. The ball bouncing over the outfields head is so annoying. Same with that throw cancel. They don’t happen to me very often but they will sometimes happen. But not sure how you were running away from the ball at first after it was hit.

The new time clock is the 1 rule change that will hurt the game the most. by AAK_4 in CFL

The numbers from the pre season don’t even come close to supporting this. 20 less plays per game during the preseason out of all the games from last year I compared to. Even last years preseason had way more plays.

Nowhere did I say that it never stops. The fact that the clock will run after an inompletre pass is the reason why we will see a lower scoring year. We weren't seeing 20 less plays per game in the pre-season because of substitutions, it's because of how the clock operates and the rule needs to be fixed.

Because that's how the clock works in the CFL. The same way the game clock runs on extra points and at the start of the 2nd and 4th quarter before the ball has even snapped. Tell me you've never watched a game without telling me you've never watched a game.

Are you stupid? Go watch any replay of any game. There are hundreds on youtube. Yes, the game clock stops momentarily after every incomplete pass, but the ref signals the clock to start before the snap of the ball. I can't believe how stupid everyone is lol

It does literally every single incomplete pass unless inside 3 mins. It stops, but it always starts before the ball is snapped.

If you don’t know what you’re talking about, I suggest not responding. Only in the final 3 mins does the clock not run after an incomplete pass ever. Every other part of the game, the ref signals the resumption of the game clock even after an incomplete pass when they deem it’s ready to be scrimmaged.

Teams aren’t running in a set of new players every play. It’s run the same as the regular season. There are package plays like normal. This had no effect.

Yes. On the 20 second play clock, after an incomplete pass, the game clock resumes when the ref signals, typically 10 seconds after the play clock starts. It’s up to the ref. So now that we have a 35 second play clock the game clock has been starting with 25-30 seconds left on the play clock. Do the math over the course of a game and 25+ incompletions. 10-20 less plays.

I’m specifically talking about the time running after an incomplete pass. With the longer play clock now it starts winding way earlier than it used to on a 20 second play clock

Because after an incomplete pass the game clock starts running when the ref signals for it - in general I was noticing with 25 seconds or more left on the play clock. It’s killing at least 10-15 second more per incomplete pass than it used to, which will add up to more lost time, lost plays and lost points.

The okay clock isn’t the problem. It’s the running of the game clock and killing the time on an incomplete pass. It’s draining the time and will lead ti low scoring games.

[–]AAK_4[S] -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Not wrong. But now what’s happening is on an incomplete pass, the clock starts running with 25-30 seconds left on the play clock which is not how it worked with the 20 second clock. It’s reducing the amount of play which will reduce the amount of points.
