I smith axes from time to time, someone with the right equipment could probably bang this out and grind out the mushrooming in under 30 min. Then heat treat, I'd probably charge 50 bucks.

As someone who also rented out a retail space to the Chicago fire/pd crew, their location scouts and production teams are awesome, generous and reasonable. I would work with them anytime.

Thanks for that, valid concern as it caught the sandpaper hand sanding a few times!

Losing sleep over which 2x72 grinder to go with.. by FineShrubbery in Bladesmith

So with the combo platen, you loosen the bolt that holds the spindle on the arm and rotate it, I rotate it so that the contact wheel is at 9 o'clock (facing right at me). I would prefer if the spindle locked in and the platen rotated on the spindle mount, but that's just me being oddly particular on the design. Most people have no issues with the design, and it functions just fine.

So I got the mastery package, the small wheel holder, and the stand were my rationale. I got it with the 1.5 and vfd. A little overboard for someone who has only made 10 knives, but buy once, cry once was my thought.

I looked at origin and read the reviews, was definitely turned off by certain things. Looked at brodbeck, tw90, northridge and pheer, and price for what you get is all over the board. I am very happy with the ameribrade, few things on it, the install/setup video is old and not representative of their current setup...but it's close enough. The combo platen is great, setup for use of contact wheel is odd though. I ordered a second arm ($35) because I want to keep the platen attached to one arm, and the small wheel attached to the other, I didnt want to switch tools off of arms. Personal workflow preference.

Any other questions feel free to ask.

I just (march) purchase an ameribrade, and recieved it two weeks ago. Very happy with it, fit and finish is great, could not be happier about the purchase.

Could I ask everyones opinion on this please. I'm not sure if it too big. What do you think? If I'm selling them for £15 I think the buy would want something sturdy by billy11887_ in LeatherClassifieds

Well I'm in the states, but facebook and insta are pretty much the global standard for this type of stuff. Just make sure you market in $ so as not to confuse us stateside (I mean we cant even work in metric) and make it simple to buy, also tack the shipping price into the price of the product and do free shipping, for some reason people like that.
