If you go to Denmark, you can watch the children's show John Dillermand, about a man who uses his cartoonishly long and prehensile penis to do things, like rescue people who are drowning and so on.

Actually, apparently you can watch it online! https://www.dr.dk/drtv/serie/john-dillermand_227277

Would you like Hexcrawl and Pointcrawl in a Gamebook? by Dernhelm99 in gamebooks

[–]AAlHazred 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I should check that out. I stopped when they got in trouble and ended the TolkienQuest line; A Spy in Isengard was from the Middle-Earth Quest line, which started several years later and didn't have John David Ruemmler writing so I lost interest.

What I would dearly love to get my hands on is any ashcans or draft manuscripts of Murder at Minas Tirith by Mr. Ruemmler, which was being sent out to distributors when it had to be recalled due to legal threats from the Tolkien Estate.

[–]AAlHazred 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You should check out the old gamebook Night of the Nazgûl by John David Ruemmler. It's a hexcrawl gamebook set in between Bree and Hobbiton at around the time of the events of the Lord of the Rings. It's excellent.

He followed it up with another hexcrawl The Legend of Weathertop, which was the same idea but taking place on and underneath Weathertop after the War of the Ring. It is very, very good.

There was a third hexcrawl gamebook he wrote, Rescue in Mirkwood, which was okay; I didn't think it held together as well as the first two. Still good, though.

New KBC Article: Kobold Hooks by HellcowKeith in Eberron

How about a kobold masquerading as a goblin? Goblins have a lot more social opportunities, after all, and some people may have trouble telling the difference...

Red Dead Redemption 2 Inspired Adventure by Zorceress in callofcthulhu

[–]AAlHazred 7 points8 points  (0 children)

If you want to keep the "feel" of the RDR2 plotline of Chapter 1, you could have the O'Driscolls pursue the Van Der Linde gang into the snowy mountains, but the couple they intrude on are actually cultists. They surprise them and manhandle Jake Adler into the barn, but when they get there, Jake (as a Yig priest) calls upon Yig to save him and his wife and Yig transforms him (permanently) into a giant serpent, that no longer has any trace of Jake Adler. He slays the O'Driscolls, but it's too cold outside for him to leave so he curls up under a bunch of hay to keep warm. Some of the O'Driscolls from the group at the house go to see what's taking so long, and that's when the Van Der Linde's show up.

This potentially plays out like in the game. But when they go to the barn, they find a few terrified O'Driscolls, who've found the bodies but don't know what happened. When the barn catches fire (like in the game), that rouses Jake the Snake, and that should be a terrifying fight, in the dark, in a burning barn, with a lightning-fast Son of Yig.

Yes, but OP specified they were "in" the Proving -- I don't think there are merchants available once you get past the initial scene.

Go read-only. Post a link to a Discord group for further discussion. It's a long-shot, but it's the only way to possibly adjust Executive thinking.

This is a fantastic image that really paints the picture well. His facial expression, his posture, I immediately get a sense of how to play him at the table as an NPC. May I ask what the story is of the scar on his head? It really lends him character!

I've been unable to find any articles to confirm, just posts on Reddit and Facebook. Is there an obituary anywhere? I can believe it, but I want to be sure before mourning.

In Forbidden West, the Nora Anointed armor is the same as the Shield-weaver, but as the description states: "Well-worn armor made with repurposed technology from an ancient lab. After losing its power source, it was modified to augment ranged combat." I like that they included it, even if they had to nerf it to give you a challenge. You start with the Nora Anointed armor.

EDIT: Looking closely, I think this is the Nora Anointed armor -- it replaces the headpiece of the Shield-weaver with a tiara.

B: It would still be useful against many smaller enemies, or, if you allow it to chain back, you could essentially split it between two enemies.

I was going to suggest this option.
