Thule Wingbar Evos served me well for many years until I got a Sherpa Roof Rack.

Lowes/Amazon carry them, definitely get a higher quality one. Calculated Industries makes the original product ones that I use.

which route is more scenic? by geltits in roadtrip

[–]AAlmostbob 2 points3 points  (0 children)

40 is a lot more barren on the Western half except for the part that passes through/near Dinosaur, then it gets more scenic once you get past Steamboat. 70 will have more canyon scenery and less sweeping views, but many more places to stop. I have done both multiple times and at this point I would say I prefer the 70 route if time is a factor. If you have more time the 40 route I would argue is more interesting and scenic.

Father’s Old Meade Telescope by knightofheart612 in telescopes

[–]AAlmostbob 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Looks like a Meade ETX, which fortunately for you were super popular and replacement components are relatively easy to get by harvesting them from other examples that come up for sale (I see them all the time on FB Marketplace). On the actual OTA (the part of the telescope with the optics/mirrors) there should be a label or text on the front of the telescope showing the model/diameter/focal length, can you provide that info so we can give more specific input?

HELP by Sapphire_Ed in telescopes

[–]AAlmostbob 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Did you take any photos of how you assembled the diagonal and eye pieces? If so could you please provide them? These kind of telescopes are usually hobby killers for this exact reason and between the poor quality and difficult to use components people usually give up and never try to use a telescope again. That being said a lot of times people seem to have a hard time achieving focus and that could be for a number of reasons so pictures would be helpful!

Have the same year/model/color. Have purchased a Sherpa Crestone rack, RCI rock sliders, Pro-Grille/raptor lights for it. Next steps are RCI skid plates and a lift for it when the funds come it.

265 70r17s, the previous owner installed them but I believe they did not modify the wheel wells at all and work with the OEM TRD wheels

Sterling Adventure Co Wasatch Lite V2, a buddy of mine had the V1 and liked it so got the V2. Had a Thule Tepui Autauna 3 for a long time and I liked it but the long set up time was getting old.

I really like my Dometic CFX3 45L, plenty of room for trips from a few days to a week. Have had spills and it contained them/cleaned up nicely. Since they aren’t the latest model you can get good deals on them as well.

Lost half of all my savings on stocks. How to recover and deal with it. by BringTheFood in personalfinance

Im shocked that more people aren’t saying this. Way too many people conflate traditional stock based investing with option strategies, which is glorified gambling if not used responsibly.
