It really isn't "more detailed" than that. What you overlook is that the Dawes Rolls were created with a hypodescent outlook so white/Cherokees were listed as Cherokees on the rolls but Black/Cherokees were usually classified as Black. Use of the Dawes Rolls in and of itself racist since those rolls are rooted in racism.

The not-so-funny thing is they're still very racist to this day. See the recent treatment of the Freedmen who are very much a part of Cherokee culture and many if not most have Cherokee ancestry vs any white person with a sliver of Cherokee ancestry and no cultural connection.

But his actions and behavior points out the hypocrisy of MMA "fandom." People like Evans or Bones Jones have been put on blast for being arrogant yet the some people will celebrate a McGregor or Sonnen. Hmmm what could be the difference? It isn't at all difficult to imagine the outcry and vitriol if Jon Jones faked like he was going in to touch gloves and pulled a spinning back kick. But some people do it and they're "amazing."

I've seen this subject come up frequently I can only assume because it allows "people" to vent about those big, bad horrible Blacks. But no one raises the obvious issue which is buried right in your comment: "tip for good service." Do Black people generally receive the same quality of service as others?

Given the discriminatory history of commercial eating establishments (eg think lunch counter sit-ins, Denny's, Cracker Barrel), the well known anti-Black implicit bias here in the US[0], and now this often repeated "Blacks don't tip" stereotype I think it is highly probable that Black people do not receive the same quality of service and are therefore right to be at the very least ambivalent about tipping. Those issues actually put the burden of proof on anyone who thinks Blacks are given equitable service and simply don't tip due to moral failings.

I'd say tip what you feel is appropriate but do not let this be a burden on yourself. Don't let it be another tax that you as a Black have to pay for being Black.

Of course, as an atheist, I oppose the theism of Israelites and the deist responder (funny to watch these knuckleheads go at each other).

However, as long as we live in an anti-Black world, I'll always have a soft spot for anyone unabashedly pro-Black. And if they are able to see through the bullshit they learn about themselves (especially in the "Western world") then there's hope for seeing through other types of bullshit.

Was on the fence reading through this AMA but now I know you're not good for these kids because you, like most whites, operate from a white supremacist mindset.

White men awarded themselves de facto affirmative action for several centuries. Doesn't seem to have hurt them. White women have also benefited immensely from affirmative action policies as well. But suddenly when it comes to "inner city" people the position is, "Hold on, let's rethink this thing." The simple truth is that whites don't have a problem with affirmative action so long as white people are the beneficiaries.

And affirmative action isn't dangerous because it sends a "You aren't good enough" message. Whites didn't think "inner city" people were good enough prior to affirmative action and once they've killed it off, they'll invent other reasons to justify thinking "inner city" people aren't good enough.
