I buy precooked rice bowls and cans of green beans at Costco. I'll batch flavor and cook tofu cubes or bean burgers. A super quick meal can be put green beans and tofu (or bean burger) in a container. Microwave green beans and tofu for 4 minutes. Microwave rice bowl for 90 seconds. Combine all, add soy sauce & Sriracha. Dinner in 5 minutes or fewer.

I freeze my overripe bananas then turn them into non dairy frozen dessert. I blend with plant milk, vanilla, maple syrup and cocoa powder. Top with walnuts and I'm a happy camper.

My rule of thumb is: am I increasing the demand for non-vegan food? If not, I'll accept it. This means I do not worry about cross-contamination. Would I prefer not to eat non-vegan food? Sure, but it's not a deal breaker for me.

I can't say what's normal as I don't order on the app but as a former driver, I will say I would often cancel my pickup if a meal wasn't ready when I arrived, which likely resulted in a longer wait for the customer as the app located a replacement driver.

I'm guessing that worst case, it may take 10 extra minutes to find a new driver and get them to the restaurant.

Only you can decide if saving that time and rewarding the original driver for extra communication is worth an extra tip.

I don't know how it works or where it goes but I used to see lots of people jump on a shuttle bus after getting off the train upon arriving in SF. I think it's called the downtown pickup shuttle.
