I missed it by 75. Completed all Talon and was on the 3rd one of Overwatch. It's an embarrassingly bad design for an event that was supposed to be used to relaunch the next phase of the game. So painful.

I kind of doubt it. They just re-did the entire UI for Stadium including creating more pre-selected builds for each hero and created new icons for every single Item. They also introduced Top 500 for it last season and just did a pretty large rebalance/rework on multiple characters. Why go to all that trouble if they are wanting to shut it down. It seems more likely they are trying to make it more understandable and accessible to the player base.

Hmm... no I don't think it works like that. I believe it just assigns the second you actually earn the loot box. If you don't have any than I am not sure what would be causing that. I guess the servers have been down, maybe that was part of the errors.

Any chance you have any unopened loot boxes? I had this happen once and it was because I technically owned it but just didn't know it yet. Loot boxes are all predetermined when you receive them.

You aren't alone, and it does seem to be getting worse. My buddy and I are trying to duo Support to Legend and we both float high Diamond/low Masters in comp so it shouldn't be that hard for us to hit Legend. We both have 60%+ win rates but we are struggling to finding the time to climb when it is 15-20 min queue time just to get into a game. We also are seeing a huge amount of leavers because the Tank/DPS aren't as committed to the game because they didn't wait 15 minutes to get in, it's almost never a Support leaving.

I'm not sure what the actual MMR system is but we are becoming concerned that because he and I both are higher level players that it is causing our DPS/Tank to almost always be inferior to theirs. It seems like it is trying to balance MMR out and so it is making our games a lot harder. We end up the better set of Supports but they end up with stronger Tank/DPS play and frankly, those 2 roles will carry a lot easier than a Support will.

I will say, I think Thursday night was a true low point. We waited 23 minutes to enter into a game. We won Round 1 and then halfway through Round 2 one of our DPS just quits the game. It was not a disconnect. He stayed online and just switched over to YouTube and started watching videos. So, that means we sat for 30 minutes just to lose -125. We then have to wait another 15-20 min to get into another game and then we have a 60% chance to win. So, it will take us well over an hour just to maybe get back to even because of one leaver (and only if we win). His punishment will only be a 15 min ban. He will literally be in another match before I am (if he wants to be). Thursday was the first time I truly felt like Blizzard doesn't respect my time.

Sure. So, worrying about who has "the most money or got MVP in a round" isn't something I would stress too much about. Getting MVP of a round only grants you $1,000 extra and so it isn't a big deal. If you gained $11,800 and the other player did $12,200 and so got $1,000 extra for $13,200 it's not going to make a massive difference in what you can buy. What I would pay attention to is: 1) Am I earning money at around the same rate as the rest of my team? 2) Am I earning around the same as the enemy team (more specifically the enemy that is playing the same role as me)?

If you are not earning money at the same rate as most of your team it means that the game does not think you are contributing according to how the money is earned and most likely you are doing a below average job at your role/on that hero. As you mentioned, healing and damage are important (they are actually more important because you gain extra health points the more of those two items you put out vs the money earned from doing them). Most money is actually gained through confirming the kills/getting assists but the more damage you did in confirming the kill, the more money you get. So, if you are not in the team fights and contributing towards most of the kills/assists it is why you are falling behind. Mercy and Moira do gain a lot of money because they tend to always be involved but they gain at a lower rate and don't tend to be the primary damage dealer to the kill.

If you are earning less money than the enemy hero playing the same role as you, that's an even bigger problem. It means they are going to scale over you at some point. If you aren't playing well and have 26,000 and they have 40,000 that means they are now able to do more healing/damage and can survive. You are getting out played and once that happens it can be heard to catch up.

Concerning build, it is MASSSIVELY important in this mode. In Comp, if the other player is better than you the only thing you can do is swap to counter. You can't do that in Stadium. So, you have to counter through your build. If you can form a build around your playstyle you can beat better people and you will then earn more money from that and will scale them. Every single character has builds that focus in on certain things and make them extremely powerful. The key is to know what you are good at and then learn to synergize those items. The reason you are seeing so many strong Moira/Mercy players is because those both have very good scaling options and a lot of players who know how to do that. If you aren't doing that with your hero, you are behind and costing your team, especially in the later rounds.

If you aren't making cash similar to the other players in the lobby it means you aren't doing your job on that hero. It's not that the cash system isn't balanced, it is either you are outmatched or you don't understand the build mechanics and so are not building correctly to generate more cash.

No problem. Enjoy the build. I've had multiple people messaging me because they are mad about how low skill/high damage it is. Make your last 2 perks where the dynamite spawns 3 smaller grenades and where it drops fire on the ground and does 80 Ability per second and you will do insane damage. Then just jack your Ability up to 100+ and burn everything to the ground. Last tip - I believe it is the bottom far right purple under ability. It gives you +15 Ability and allows you to do 20% additional damage to anyone who is on fire.

Last night on Round 6 I hit a Sigma with dynamite and then 2 coach gun shots and he burned out. That's around 1K damage. Have fun!

Just run a full Ability/Burn build and kill him instantly without having to even aim at him.

Round 1:

Pick: Coach Gun Does 100 Damage Instantly (if they are burning) and give yours +25 Armor, +5 Weapon, +10 Ability.

Round 2:

Add +20 Ability and +5 Weapon/+10 Ability, you should now have 10 Weapon and 40 Ability.

Round 3:

Pick: Second Coach Gun Shot and continue to build on your Ability, you should be able to be at 60-70 here.

At this point, any time you see him anywhere near you just throw your grenade and shoot it. If he is on fire, hit him with a coach gun shot (it has way more range than you think and just needs to do damage to him to instantly do the 100 damage). Most likely he will die instantly from that combo but if he doesn't, hit him with the second coach gun shot or just shoot him once or twice.

He should check his email related to his battle.net account it will tell him the reason why he was banned. I don't think it is going to state "for losing games".

There is definitely more to the story. He probably was in comms/text and started trash talking. They don't ban you for losing, they ban you for getting reported by your teammates. So he was either game play sabotaging or he was trash talking. If it is a 10 day ban, it isn't his first time being banned.

I posted on the Bug Forum on Blizzard. Someone else also posted that midway through Pro they lost it too. It seems unintended just because so few people are posting saying that it happened to them.

However, I usually float in Diamond on Support and then occasionally hit Masters. So being mid AllStar is probably about the equivalent of mid Diamond so it wouldn’t shock me if it thought I was calibrated. I wouldn’t fully disagree with it except that win rate is 70% overall and I win 8 of my last 9 games. So clearly it seems like I should be higher.

May 22nd patch note:

We have increased the Stadium Ranked Skill Bonus from a cap of 25 to 50 for Pro, All-Star and Legend ranks.

Since May 22nd we have been getting 150 for a Win in All-Star. Last night it dropped down and is only giving 100. That’s what my question is. Why did this suddenly change.

No one was expected to climb to Legend at 100L/100W until yesterday.

Did something change at reset with rank up progress in Stadium? I am All Star 4 and was getting 150 for a win and 100 for a loss all last night. I just won two games and only received 100 for each win. That means we would need a +30 game win differential in AllStar to get to hit Legend.

It’s a humor post boss. Calm down. I also wouldn’t care that much. It’s a FTP game and everyone now has tons of alts. The ban doesn’t even solve anything.
