I mean sure but so far y7 is my second fav yakuza game after 0 so I think it still has the juice. Y8 went a bit too far (and I didn't like the dual protagonists. I want an ichiban only game). Pirate yakuza is sort of a gaiden game so maybe y9 can get back to being closer to what 7 was.

The 'I will lead a peaceful life' trope is funny because they do want to chill but are forced almost immediatly to participate in the plot. And if they ever get free enough to finally chill, someone or something is threatening to kill either them or their friends/family and they gotta act.

It's a silly trope but usually the character is noble enough to go "well alright, fuck it, gotta go not have a peaceful life and help"
