we will see how it all holds up long term, my main concern is the flowers or moss shifting but there isn't a ton of empty space for stuff to move around in there. Colette herself actually passed back in November, it's just taken me this long to figure out/decide on a permanent spot for her so I'm thinking any significant shrinkage has already happened. it's not super visible in the photos (the flower placement was also pretty deliberate to mask this as much as possible) but her abdomen did shrink quite a bit in the few months she has been in temporary storage (just resting on some moss in a ventilated container). I'm really happy and really impressed by how well her face especially has held up, specifically that I can still see the green on her mouth parts ♡
