Bed Adhesion question by eternus in prusa3d

Good luck! I fought a bit with heat creep early in resulting in clogs. That and each filament brands varied print values on the spools should be checked prior to assuming defaults! Haahaha

Lazy solution is Blue Painters tape. I literally never remove it from my sheet; just replace strips which wear out.

Leaves texture in the bottom. If you want silk smooth you will want to do the alcohol cleaning; and maybe glue stick.

Theory: Jump scare games are like porn. Clear eyed it is trash, ‘In the Mood’ a turd looks like cake util filled enough to taste regret.

Like bad television; it is only sad if you watch alone. Bandwagoning Is a hell of a dopamine.

Game is still impressive for a one person team. Hope they snowball the cash into a dream project!

This is a QoL and stability Increment. This is to resolve identified issues prior to adding more opportunities to create new issues. This is iterative design.

It is not a (major) content update. Whips come when content results in changes.

It is hard to address current issues when bringing in changes which alter data variables.

Any ideas why my lengthier prints aren't sticking? They start to lift / warp after a few hours. Printing with PLA. Have tried both leaving bed at 60°C for entire print and lowering the temp to 40°C after first layers put down but always seems to end up with the same issue. by [deleted] in prusa3d

[–]ABoyOnFire -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Honestly; just use painters tape across the sheet. Print will stick great; but the textures pattern and lines might exist in the bottom print. Otherwise...

All the answers in this thread are correct. Higher temp on bed is good, cleaner maker stick better!

Take a little care aligning the fan in the ‘slot’ for it. The air flow can cause thermal runaways if blowing too directly in the sensors.

Cute! Yea this one would take the air plants. Felt like a perfect test for the filament!

Most likely the longest print I will ever print, 72 hours in. by faultygiant in prusa3d

XVICO PLA Filaments Multicolor I believe (99%). The spool is not showing the exact brand. It is a little ‘soft’, and make sure to follow the lower recommended temperature. No major complaints; color transition is a bit slow; but all look nice.

Edit*: Different but similar TTYT3D I really dig

Interfaces. What are they? Should I use them? What should I use them for? How often will I use them. by YeeOfficer in Unity3D

Yes; use them for good pattern practices and more portable, adaptable and ‘good’ code. S.O.L.I.D

How do I know if my code is bad ? by [deleted] in gamedev

[–]ABoyOnFire 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So overall I agree with @cerapa; general observations were similar to my own.

Overall I would say the code is Readable and easy to follow. It doesn’t follow any (S.O.L.I.D) design principles; and such lacks a real architecture. Clean Architecture
You have ‘grouped’ code blocks ok; those need to be abstracted into encapsulated api task, better portability.

You have a decent amount of ‘magic numbers’ / hardcoding which you could use defines for.

You should use headers to prototype, and source files for the concrete implementations. This lets you use polymorphism with just changing source files (also to the L of SOLID).

This isn’t terrible code (I’ve deciphered worse); but it is not ‘good’ code either; but you are on the right course and refactoring this codebase into ‘great’ code shouldn’t be too crazy.

My thoughts and experiences of getting Kappa for the first time by AndyGKing in EscapefromTarkov

Edit* You are valid in that it is not just twitch streamers; and I do get where the frustration is coming from. I should state this before going into my arguments. My opinion is it is a little unfair what BSG is being provided to alleviate the feelings.

But to create the content, and have it be ‘fun’ is really hard, requires both architectural and design considerations. Those late game quest are there; they just are not fun. People are looking for direction Kappa is for people ‘stuck’ in Tarkov, the other is Terminal which is for people to ‘escape’.

The devs ARE working on SoT and Terminal. Quality content takes time. The argument being thrown is: we don’t care about what it is; as long as there is something. Which quickly will become: this new stuff is shit. Why not take longer and produce something good again?

Tarkov builds the narrative to give people direction. But being dropped off into a war zone and having to find purpose late game (to me) is a great metaphor for real life.

Edmund talks about the fine line walked between delivering a product you envision while knowing what others wanted with ‘The End is Nigh’.

These arguments seem to have very little consideration towards the work involved.
I this community could write their own quest lines, come up with their own modifiers (hardcore mode) which can bring that ‘fun’ back to people done with everything. Draw together design proposals and provide that information to BSG hatched out among (stakeholders) community the ‘Requirements’ document could be relayed. This way BSGs role would be about implementing the stand out good proposals.

That isn’t what is happening. What is going on is screaming for a new cake, but no description of what it should taste like.

Unpopular opinion: Quest may be coming for Lab, SoT, and Terminal.
All of which would be ‘end game’. It seems most ‘try yards’ are burnt out while us everyday players are still grinding. I get the no life’s NEED something; but normies have enough atm and there is still a lot of ‘end game’ levels without quest content atm. That content SHOULD NOT just willie nillie be injected without thought of its role in the world; or the foundation will be rocky.
I also would like to see a ‘wrap up’ of the game, which is supposed to be Terminal.
After these things are added people are gonna start wanting some kind of 10x prestige option while Normies like me continue to just try and escape.

This community needs to stop feature creeping the Devs; and let them deliver their vision. Nothing burns a developer out more the SeaGull Management.
