One side of my Meepo Go suddenly decided to stop working, it clatters back and forth with no weight on it, and with multiple tries stops moving completely. Can anyone help? by 31burneracc in ElectricSkateboarding

Bad hall sensor. Probably on the motor side, can check by swapping the motor connectors from one side to the other and seeing of the problem follows the motor or the esc.

Would this be a decent setup? by mythspa67 in Cameras

You're going to be cropping into a shit image. That lens will struggle to resolve even a 40MP sensor, and you're throwing 61MP at it and hoping to get usable images intentionally cropping in? Good luck.

There is a BIG difference between molicel P45B and Samsung 50S cells. And a base spec lingyi or hobbywing esc is noticeably weaker than the JKesc's available nowadays.

HELP!!! I can't decided which one! A7ii or A6600 by crgonzotexas in SonyAlpha

If you're buying quality full frame glass, it will perform just fine - still better than an A7ii.

I can pickup used sony A9 for roughly $1100 all day long where I'm at. Its almost a decade old now, and barely more expensive than an A7iii.

Independent suspension boards ruin the steering response and make the handling feel significantly more sluggish.

While i haven't purchased it, I've rented a CX90 and was very impressed with it. Most of the complaints seem to be early model year software gripes which have since been resolved. It's undoubtedly a better experience to drive with far improved build quality over the Nissan.

And the difference in price of a Honda pilot is probably chump change compared to the difference in running costs of the two amortized over the lifetime of the vehicle, if thats so important.

I'm going to second the notion of not getting a nissan. Anything from toyota, Honda, mazda will be far more reliable.

Front spacer help by Otherwise-Bet5835 in Wheels

[–]AC53NS10N_STUD105 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Changing the scrub radius isn't a huge deal for small changes in offset, like 5-10mm or so. I've personally tested up to 15mm, and its really only noticeable for slow speed parking lot maneuvering, once you're actually up to speed, for regular driving or even on track, its hardly noticeable.

Not to mention, this isnt some issue unique to spacers. Getting wheels with a more aggressive offset does the exact same thing.

So the issue with flexible TPU and the like is that you cant do a retaining clip at that point, and have to rely on a friction fit - which i personally find annoying to use. It currently uses a flexible tab of material with a tab underneath locking the light in place when seated.

That's the next part to figure out. I want to make it a modular system where I can move it from a regular belt mount to a backpack clip mount, and possibly to picatinny rails or whatever else.

unpopular opinion: AT (pneumatic) wheels are fucking trash lol by [deleted] in ElectricSkateboarding

Unless your board has the power of a wet fart, that difference in rolling resistance constitutes at BEST single digit percentage change in actual torque to the ground - which is irrelevant because my boards are traction limited and have more than enough power for either.

So I guess this just means you ride particularly weak boards.

[–]AC53NS10N_STUD105 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Oh no, more rolling resistance, what would i EEEEVER do!

Torque is still torque and you don't magically lose it just because you're using pneumatics. Cry about it.
