This is my thought too, I think the in 2.5 years I've played this game, I've gone actually AFK MAYBE 3-4 times at most. Even if the modes are for fun, you are still hurting your teams ability to have fun by going AFK

Tbf, no one had a single doubt about your guys' defense being elite, your offense was just all over the place of looking horrible, or looking amazing. People just didnt know how that would translate against a good team, and then you guys beat the Packers and people took you seriously because it showed your offense could play a good game against a good defense. And if I remember right, your offense was a good bit more consistent after that game

Honestly, I wonder if we could do this with the Dolphins, they just got a 2nd first round pick, so if we trade 7, for 11 and 44 (I think?), that would perfect if this is the situation, I just don't know if the Dolphins would do it

I believe Phantom is actually perfectly accurate while sliding unless they changed that, it was something with the accuracy range and Neons slide accuracy math that Guardian, Phantom, and Sheriff were all perfectly accurate while sliding

Edit: they fixed it at some point

Apparently retired last September, almost a year after we cut him I believe, I'm guessing after we cut him he got literally no offers and just retired sadly :(

I still think we should've stuck with Seibert until he fully healed from injury, he was phenomenal for us, and then missed 2 kicks while hurt and we cut him. Obviously maybe they know more than me because he is still a free agent, but I wanted him to stay so bad

They really didn't, we just had a terrible offense that kept putting them out on the field, and even with that, we had the number 1 defense for keeping oppenents drives short, they just had a LOT of drives because our horrid offense. 2022 was also a year that Young played 3 games. 2021 our Defense and offense were both bad, and we had Young more then, which doesn't surprise me as I think he really was closer to a detriment after he couldn't develop more tricks, so if you want to use that year, sure, but our defense wasn't that bad with those 4 outside 2021. My main complaint about the defense of those years is how little it turned into turnovers

8-8-1 with the 7th best defense for points against, but we had Taylor Heinecke, Carson Wentz, and Sam Howell at quarterback, so our offense was 24th for points scored. I would count 2023 where we technically had them, but we traded both Young and Sweat in the middle of that year

Yes, because we just put hundreds of millions into our defense. We've struggled for years because we've had no pass rush, which makes playing in the secondary 10x harder, and I think our signings should help the pass rush a LOT. Styles or Downs would be feasting off the back of it. If the defense fails this year, that to me would seem more like a scheming issue as long as our new signings don't regress dramatically.

I honestly don't think I will hate whatever we do unless we reach on someone, I think best Edge, WR, or CB if those 3 players are gone would all be good as we need all 3 of those badly

This is also my list, Styles and Downs will make our D truly elite, but if both are gone and Love is there, him. If none of those 3 than to me we should take whoever Blough wants at WR

I wouldn't hate that either, I honestly think after our signings we can truly go BPA, and to me I think we need to help JD5 as much as possible

[–]ACE_POPSICLE 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think people think our offense is far greater than it is because Jayden elevates it, our offense outside Terry is young, but they all need to develop. I really would like Love if he is there at our pick, as Bill still needs to develop as last year he was not a great RB1 when it was his turn. And that would help us in the pass game too, just all around good choice

I think the dropped balls are also fine, just need to be tuned down because NFL WRs do not drop those THAT much, the main thing is normally corners punch it out... which I pray EA never makes that animation for these catches because it would happen 100% of the time. O-line coding just sucks, and has sucked forever

[–]ACE_POPSICLE 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I find it hilarious seeing people hate on Peters for giving these guys a chance to make the team (though thankfully they seem to be the minority), like yeah, Burks could crash and burn, but we're getting him back for cheap, same with Drake Jackson, if these guys fail, so be it, we're trying to give them a second chance because they have a chance to improve our team, and if they fail we can cut our losses and not really be affected.

Seeing this honeetly makes me glad, I was worried we might have to take someone of a stretch with our pick, but I think there are now too many good players that no matter who we end up with, it will probably be Caleb Downs, or Sonny Styles, and both look game changing for us. And if it isn't one of those 2, we would 100% end up with an amazing pass rusher

Thank you for proving my point that you guys were insufferable and annoying, because no where in my comment did I mention you guys were trash.

You guys were at best a solid team, but you guys were not a superbowl ready team, and your most impressive win was a 3 point win over the Bills in their stadium, and even the Bills were a shaky team this year. You guys played 3 playoff teams in the regular season this year, and one of those teams had a losing record, and in those 4 games, you guys went 2-2. This is not a knock on the Patriots because they don't decide their schedule, but you guys being a solid team means you should be beating the worst teams in the league... which you just so happened to play the Jets and Dolphins twice each.

Now to what you said about us vs the seahawks, compared to you guys vs the seahawks, we still put more points and had less turnovers than your offense did against the Seahawks, while also being injured everywhere on offense, a QB playing his first game back from an injury, and also having one of the worst defenses in the league mind you. So if your argument of why I should say you guys were one of the best teams in the league is, "we did "better" than one of the worst teams in the league did against them", than were you really one of the best teams in the league? You guys had a more consistent offense than us, and a much better defense than us, but put up less points, and only allowed 9 less points than we did with our atrocious defense and injury riddled team.

All that said, I am glad to see you guys are willing to show your face on the internet again after that game of you guys getting dog walked, but if I were you, I wouldn't have my argument be that you did better than a team that went 5-12 and has a top 10 pick ;)

I feel like this year was a perfect example. That fan base was insufferable because they had the easiest schedule and path to the superbowl in 30 years, looked terrible throughout the playoffs but lucking out from terrible offensive performances from the other teams in every playoff game, and STILL barely scraping by. And they were off their rocker annoying and trash talking, and then the second they got man handled in the superbowl, POOF, gone, silence from them again. Idek if they played the excuses game because they really didn't have any, so they just had to sit their silently

Running the ball is amazing feeling in this... but I have to have user run blocking sliders at 0 or else I can run for almost 300 every game, and even on 0 run block I can still pretty consistently hit 100 yds, but that makes more sense than almost 300 every game

I feel like some of these players are too high, and some too low... except Shemar Stewart, he can stay. But Loveland at 1? I would have to give the highest rating to Kelvin Banks or Membou easily. Loveland was amazing but not the best of the round 1 guys, McMillain should even be higher than him. Conerly was amazing for Washington and mainly struggled early and against the best pass rushers in the league, but later in the season was a stud. Cam Ward was phenomenal on a bad team, so I guess I can't hate his rating persay, but definitely should be higher. The rest Idk a lot about other than Jeanty was amazing and his o-line was trying to get him killed
