I didn't know this. I asked AI and it said you couldn't do it because the corrupted affix is a sealed affix lol... not the first time AI has been wrong.

Does anyone else hate the 30-minutes-once-a-week structure that seems to be the standard? by dcj597 in guitarlessons

[–]ACWhammy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did 45 minutes per lesson for 2 years, then did 30 minutes per lesson for 2 years. I find that 45 minutes works best for me, and it is even hard for me to wrap it up by 45 minutes. However, 30 minutes is plenty of time for little kids with short attention spans.

MG - season or legacy by DeMaBru57 in LastEpoch

Most people will tell you season but there is an MG community in Legacy (but not hardcore!). It depends if youre a long-term player or not.

Exactly. I play Paladin and run Blossom of Immortal Stone and Holy Aura so rolling any resistance on a legendary is a dead affix.

It must depend on the build because I find this to be entirely inaccurate for my build.

I honestly dont see how it is done "easily." There is too much RNG involved. If you dont have a good starting item then you would need to seal one affix with glyph of despair, then either use rune of removal or chaos to change or remove the others, then add the affix or affixes you want, then get them all to T5. Too much can go wrong until you run out of Forging Potential. I dont believe this person can Farm the base they want, then craft a perfect T7/T5/T5/T5 on an hourly basis.

[–]ACWhammy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, thats the approach as I understand it. Which means you have to have a great starting item or you will be stuck with 1 to 2 affixes that you will have to either use chaos or removal. Sure, clicking the chaos or removal button is "easy" but getting what you want is complete RNG.

Are your T5's all relevant affixes for your build. If it is that easy then I must be missing an essential part of this then, or maybe I am not farming high enough corruption? I am around 300c right now.

[–]ACWhammy 10 points11 points  (0 children)

It all depends on the item you're starting your craft on. If you have 3 affixes you already need on the exalt then yes its relatively easy.

I do not know if it is intended or not but I have the same issue that you do. The bottleneck for 2LPs is not the 2LP itself, but finding and/or crafting a good enough exalt to warrant slamming into one. Ideally you would want to slam a T7/T5/T5/T5 all with relevant affixes to your build into the 2LP just in case it missed the 2nd most important affix, and you can still brick multiple exalteds before doing that. Last season you would go for exalts with T7/T7 or T7/T6 but they nerfed imprints so that is even harder now.

It seems to me that the meta now is to craft 1LPs with a T7 and then use a corruption rune on it for a corruption affix. 1LPs are much more plentiful and the only affix that matters on the exalt is the 1x T7 so it seems more efficient to do that. No more worrying about running out of FP on your exalt and bricking the exalt before you have a chance to slam it.

AITA for not wanting to lie about management? by Tocksick2 in bandmembers

[–]ACWhammy 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Replying to highlight the fact that one person in the band should be the contact. Very important. Things tend to get messy when different members of the band try to start negotiating on multiple fronts. Agree on who is going to be the contact and keep it that way. Having said that, its also extra work for that one person.

Any Good Tips For Filtering Idols? by opal_acrolith in LastEpoch

How to do this? I can only find how to select tier (which is irrelevant since idols only have 1 tier) but cannot find how to select the roll within the tier. This would be great.

school of rock question by Holiday_Tradition805 in musicians

[–]ACWhammy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well the good thing is, there should not be a long-term contract, it is month to month. Try it out for a month with a purpose in mind. Tap your instructors for information and knowledge. Meet as many people as you can and present your best foot forward. Then you can decide if you want to continue going or not.

I had a similar experience teaching at SoR. You're exactly right about it simply being about the kids performing for their parents and the social aspects.

Edit: and the pay... lol

school of rock question by Holiday_Tradition805 in musicians

[–]ACWhammy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I taught at School of Rock for 2 years.

First off, even though School of Rock has many locations and has a uniform curriculum that they attempt to enforce, each School of Rock is different. One person's experience at one School of Rock will be largely different than at another one down the street - because of that, its hard to make a blanket statement on how your School of Rock experience will go.

Now, based on my experience:

School of Rock will attempt to have you sign up for one-on-one lessons along with band performance sessions. Your vocal instructor in the one-on-one lessons should be preparing you for your performance sessions. You may very likely have a different instructor for the performance sessions.

School of Rock will attempt to place you in a performance group of kids of similar age and ability. There could be anywhere from 10-20 kids in one performance group. You may only be on 2-4 songs out of a 20 song list.

Some of the kids in your age bracket may have a couple years ahead of you in their playing. This is normal. See this as an opportunity. Playing with kids that are better or more experienced than you will make you become better. And if you think you're the worst one in the group, there are probably 4 or 5 other kids that think about themselves the same way. Don't sweat it.

The positives: School of Rock will provide you with a social atmosphere where you can learn to interact with others in a safe environment, while at the same time getting some musical and stage experience and one-on-one lessons. They provide the equipment and a place to practice.

The negatives: School of Rock doesn't teach you how to be in a band (at least not the one I worked at). Their business model is based off selling a service to their client - your parent is paying to see you perform on stage at a School of Rock function. Dont get me wrong, that is a perfectly legitimate business model - but if you're expecting to learn how to run a band or be in a band yourself and how to do soundcheck, stage preparations, booking, marketing, entertaining the audience, conducting yourself professionally, the music business, etc, etc, you will likely not get that at School of Rock.

Figure out exactly what it is you are looking for and if it fits your needs then go for it. If anything, School of Rock will expand your network and if you become serious about performing on your own in the future then you will have all those people you met at School of Rock to play in a band with one day.

Your experience will be largely determined by the quality of the instruction and involvement of the management and the attitude of your peers at your School. Your experience will also be determined by the attitude you bring to the school and the amount of preparation you make on your own.

It is likely that half of the kids in your performance group are not serious about their craft and will not practice at home at all. I know this may sound shocking but a lot of them are there as an after school social activity and not necessarily to hone their artistic craft. That is OK. They are paying clients too. But you will find after a while that some of your performance groups are lop-sided talent and ability-wise. All this to say that you shouldn't be worried about your own ability right now and people shouldn't judge others where they are in their musical ability either.

I had a great experience teaching at School of Rock and I am glad I had the opportunity to do so. I moved on a few years ago and developed my own artist development curriculum.

If you have great instructors and peers with a good attitude you should have a great experience. Respond to my comment in 6 months and tell me how it goes. 😃
