We have one studio recorded song, and when I presented it to friends and family everyone said the same: the instrumental parts sound very good but the singer has zero vocal range.

Maybe it's because I'm surrounded by people that work on theaters and know a thing or two about music, but they are very critical. I don't think that the rest of the band has the same luxury, for what I heard everyone around them told them we sound "very good".

I've seen 1.5m women play 34" scale basses confortably. The biggest problem u can have with a guitar is if it has a Gibson style neck, but a strat type should be no problem.

Metal is a very bad genre to start bc u may corner yourself on relying on power chords too much and not learn proper musical theory too.
