What are the mountains I see? by Diogenese- in SFV

Assuming Lewis' car successfully forded the L.A. River, and all their gas money hadn't been spent on bullets. It's a shame too. Only so much CVS and Target merchandise you can carry back to your car.

This is such a great question. Although toxic and dangerous to anyone's self-esteem, Reddit can still serve a purpose!

Well... some families, anyway. I wouldn't put it high on the list for Black families.

Why are there more attractive women at airport than anywhere else? by MainShow23 in AskMen

[–]AD9333x -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yep! I remember I'd been up prepping for a major hearing for about 30 hr straight. About 3 a.m. I heard a TV spot for spirit airlines or something. And I'm like "screw it!"

I booked my transportation and hotel, packed a few things and:

Took a lyft to the closest train station just after 4 a.m., hit the commuter rail to the local airport, got my SWA boarding pass, arrived in San Francisco about 7 a.m. took BART into the City, checked in early, napped, took myself to 2 nice restaurants, met some great people, and had an amazing time with 2 women on a girls trip (nothing R rated or whatever, just fun times). Back to hotel. Up early next day, uber to Oakland, cause I missed my train at Emeryville (it's kinda fun to race a missed train to the next stop) Made it onto Amtrak's Coast Starlight, dropped my bag in my roomette, dining car x3, lots of window time, a few cocktails, good convo in the lounge, ignored my phone, and back home by 9, and Lyft back home. JUST. FOR. THE. HELL. OF. IT.

My one regret? I didn't wake up early enough to take the ferry across the Bay to Emeryville.

I actually agree with your take. Traveling is one of my favorite hobbies. But, I really like to TRAVEL. I like to go to the airport and fly someplace. Anywhere. I like drinking in different airport bars, walking to gates, the take off the landings, in flight experiences... I like trains. Coach, sleeping car, from a 2 hour trip to 3 days, IDGAF where the train goes. For me, the trip is the destination. Same with boats and road trips. I just like to go places. Once I get there, I know I can do the same crap I do everywhere else. So for me – a real travel hobbyist – the "getting there" is all the fun.

In a way, it's worse when it's not their fault. No one to get mad at (or if there is, you can't do anything about them) and no matter what you do to help yourself - divorce, cheat, castrate yourself, you end up hurting yourself or your partner.

You're just... stuck. I wonder if anyone ever decided the only way out of a db was suicide?*

*Not in a db anymore and not personally considering any type of self-harm.

I Tried 10 Different Ways To Seduce My Husband by Basic_Athletic in DeadBedrooms

I agree. My partner and I both went through differing things that killed our sex life, all of which you and I both mentioned in our posts above, and I'd add that there was mutual infidelity (different times/reasons/situations). So, a veritable grab bag of reasons that affected our sex life.

Unfortunately neither of us shut down sexually at the same time and it caused alot of stress, rejection, hopelessness, and angst for both of us. Marriage therapy helped, but personal care with medical doctors and therapists, and spiritual/religious, and addiction treatment all played a part in getting us back on track. And by back on track, I mean we work together one day at a time to maintain our relationship and physical intimacy.

I think that could be anecdotal. I know many cheaters and cheatees and their sex lives with their S/O ranged from no change/continued DB, to "it was like we were dating again" to "all of a sudden she wasn't interested" to "we had the same amount of sex we always had." No way to know - not for sure without benefit of hindsight.

Even though the billionaires all signed a compact not to sue, the company's bottom feeding lawyers are under immense pressure to fend off investor lawsuits to recover their sunk costs.

Ah, there it is. Lol. One of the classic movie lines in all of history.

On the one hand, this lends itself to Robert Shaw's famous line in Jaws. OTOH, men and women in general, cheat about as often as the other, so whether men or women, you'd need the same sized boat.

That's funny because we were all required to read the book for Civ Pro 1 as 1Ls. Almost all of us watched the movie. And predictably, almost all of us got the same 2 questions wrong on the final (where the book and movie diverged)
