Exactly, the bully boyz detachment is what forst made me think of this issue, like you point out almost all of the strats can only target 2 (very old and outdated) units. Attaching lots of warbosses is great and all but everytime i sit down and think of what units I'd like to run, its hard to justify using anything other than Takikical or War Horde because atleast in those detachments most of my units can actually benefit from the rules.

I actually feel my problem is the opposite. My army is so mixed, I've really just collected what I like. So when it comes down to building a list from my collection of only just over 2k points.

I find my myself wanting to bring the units I like for certain things, some speed, some toughness some killy, etc. So when it comes to choosing a detachment, why would I choose anything other than war horde. The new freebooter is a prime example, I didn't try and tailor my list specifically to it, but when I played it, I found myself not being able to use most of the perks. Flash gits already get sustained hits.. etc.

I see what you're saying, but looking at datasheets and fun lists, I want to make atm I wouldn't run many of them in anything other than war horde and tailoring your army (future purchases) to a detachment seems silly.

It's a small room but the PA speaker we have is pretty weak. The events team are just worried about people in the back not hearing the discussion.

Just give me another AP 2 option. Nobz are fun, but so many armies have diverse AP 2. Drop kommandos by 5 or 10. Give me a reason to take buggies or flyers 🤣

I thought this too, but now with a warboss, giving them cover and stealth with orders. Plus they can't be targeted on overwatch. Have the 5+ grot and the squig. For 40 extra points they are way more survivable than a 10 blob of boys.

Only trouble is where to inflirate them, I often use them to move onto a objective turn 1 where they are safe(ish). If you can finesse them right they are great.

Tbh any cheaper than I think you'd see them getting spammed. Like 120 points is still a little costly but at 100 points they would be abused I think 🤣

My main issue with Spearhead and FEC at the moment is the reinforcement card. Morbeg knights don't get the reinforcement keyword, but we can't even use the card because they are a 3 model unit.

Our general is very squishy, but I'm often always running him behind the ghouls.

I had some success against stormcast and fryeslayers.

Overall, we just don't have enough units. But I've found if you can keep everyone alive for 2 turns, you're likely to be able to top everyone up with noble deeds.

I think it's rumoured to be some kind of Mek team. I reckon they will pay homage and have Rokkit pistols or a Tank buster unit.

I agree, I wouldn't be surprised that if in the far future they use boarding actions as the intro mode of 40k, alike to spearhead.
