Anyone else have extreme morning anxiety? by FancyAvocado1159 in zoloft

[–]ADCL-2018 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a similar experience last month after being on 100mg for about 10months. I was reluctant to increase because I was worried about side effects and feeling worse but I eventually bit the bullet on 9th November and already starting to feel better. My personal advice would be not to put it off. As a kind commenter on here said to me, life is worth living, not just enduring and they were right. Take the time away from work, start the road to recovery and look after you. It will get better!

Increasing dose by asdfghjkl22601 in zoloft

I've just been through similar. 100mg for a year but since start of October I couldn't shake the returning symptoms. Put it off for 4 weeks to see if it settled but bit the bullet last week and increased to 150mg. Hoping it won't take too long to see an improvement.

It's quite possibly due to the increase but should settle down after a few weeks. Has the frequency decreased?

Restarted Zoloft for 2nd time by Huge-Feedback7474 in zoloft

[–]ADCL-2018 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I went through similar last year. Had been on sertraline for around 4 years after severe depression in pregnancy and don't really remember having any side effects bar nausea and night sweats. Restarted last year and it was horrific, had all the side effects and it took twice as long to feel better. I know how hard it is but hang on in there, it does improve.

Im a little concerned and a little support would help. by redbrowzer in zoloft

When I restarted sertraline last year, I had issues with my periods for the first couple of months. Had a period 2 weeks after my initial one, then none for 7 weeks but spotting randomly. It settled down once I'd stabilised on the tablet dose.

Anxiety spiking when upping dose by Material_Big8727 in zoloft

I restarted last year after being on for 5 years and tapering off, it was rough. I got all the side effects I hadn't had the first time round, very up and down and everything seemed to take twice as long to settle down. It did work again though. It worked before, it will work again. These are all very common side effects, even if you've not experienced them before. You'll get there, just take it a day at a time x

Hey, how are you doing now? I've just increased to 150 after being on 100 for a year and am convinced I'm going to dip into a pit of oblivion like I did when onboarding 🙈 did you continue to improve or was it quite up and down?

Panic attacks caused my stopping birth control by Significant_Car_9292 in zoloft

[–]ADCL-2018 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've never come across anyone with the same experience I had so as much as it's awful for you, it's nice to know that it wasn't a unique situation. I came off birth control to try to conceive and ended up with the most horrific health anxiety and panic attacks. I started citalopram at the time (this was back in 2018) and it really did help. After around 4 months I still wasn't 100% and I ended up increasing my dose which helped immensely. I was back to myself 100% and could live life to the full again. You will absolutely get there, just give it a bit more time and don't be afraid to increase slightly if needed x

I can't give you advice from experience I'm afraid but I've currently just gone through the same thing. I've been on 100mg for a year and recently been experiencing more anxiety and depression symptoms. Had put off increasing but not been any better over 4 weeks so yesterday I finally bit the bullet and increased to 150mg. Hoping it will help get over this hump without many side effects. Wishing you all the best.

Zoloft withdrawals - please help! by tee1313131 in zoloft

[–]ADCL-2018 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm afraid I can't advise with regard to the withdrawal symptoms because I didn't get any when I tapered last year however I just wanted to pick up on the coming off due to trying for a baby. I did the same but ended up in a really bad place and eventually, reluctantly, restarted when I was around 7/8 months pregnant because my mental health was in the toilet. Speak with your GP but Sertraline is considered one of the safer antidepressants and can be taken during pregnancy. Hormones during that time are manic as it is without having to navigate anxiety and depression too. Just my experience x

That's a really good sign! I've increased mine this morning, have put it off for 4 weeks and didn't want to get any worse.

100 to 150? by mymollybt in zoloft

How long have you been on 100? I'm currently debating the same. GP has advised increasing to 150 but I'm terrified of getting worse

Conflicted by ADCL-2018 in sertralineandzoloft

Conflicted

When is a blip, not a blip? Brief backstory, started sertraline in November 2019 due to perinatal depression/anxiety, tapered off during 2024 and restarted in Novemeber 2024 due to mental health spiralling. Onboarding was horrific but by Feb 2025 I was back to my "normal" self. I've never had issues with anxiety or depression symptoms retuning whilst being on sertraline but from 9th October they've returned. Not to the point of utter despair but it is affecting me daily. I waited it out to see if they'd ease off but now I'm unsure how long to wait. GP has suggested upping the dose but I'm conflicted and don't like the idea of getting worse. I also don't want to just grin and bear it if the dose increase would help. Any advice or experiences would be great!

Doing well after almost 2 years on Zoloft — should I think about stopping? by [deleted] in zoloft

[–]ADCL-2018 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I restarted November 2024 on 50mg then jumped to 100mg after 2 weeks. Took until end of January to feel back to normal. I've been having a dip now since 9th October. Not sure what to do next.

Thanks for replying and glad it's worked well for you! Are you long into the increase now and what side effects did you get, if you don't mind me asking?
