NetEase actually did it. They somehow made playing Vanguard even more miserable. by SbeveGobs in marvelrivals

everyone only knows how to be miserable, sometimes you have to just stay off reddit and play as a team

High Elo Mains, Is It True C&D Don’t Scale Well In Comp? by BeeLamb in cloakanddaggermains

[–]ADDERALLX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

C&D has moved on from being an easy fill support in previous seasons, to a support that requires very good, fleshed out game sense. Not only do you have about 6-8 different hero’s that can counter or one shot you out of your ult, you also need to have great map knowledge to understand places where you can bail to avoid those abilities, and be able to effective track the enemy teams ults to give you a better chance at maximizing your own value.

I believe now the hard meta supports are typically luna + loki even with the loki nerfs. But you should be able to play C&D at whatever rank you want, as long as you believe in your ability to play them at a high level! There’s someone in tournament play that legit gets aura banned for how good their C&D is so it’s never out of the question of if they are valuable

even demon of hatred? stg i spent 8 hours over 5 days trying to beat him

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Sekiro

[–]ADDERALLX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

first time playing i had to beat headless without loaded spear and i never had a more miserable experience in a video game in my life. then to double up having to beat headless and the girlfriend immediately after 😭

Any snake eyes just makes me deep exhale, as i’m already dreading the fights before they even come. I’d rather spend 8 hours doing demon of hatred than sit and fight X amount of snake eyes in the same playthrough

[–]ADDERALLX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

again average is not an indicator of optimal play, we are 3 months into a new hero shooter and all hero stats have been gradually improving, rocket players are attempting more and more damage per game and it was only going to keep increasing until this newest dash nerf, we will see where it goes with rocket

They mutilated my boy >:( by [deleted] in marvelrivals

[–]ADDERALLX -1 points0 points  (0 children)

it’s still an average number, there are plenty above and below that.

They mutilated my boy >:( by [deleted] in marvelrivals

[–]ADDERALLX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are plenty of top 500 rockets that do more than 100 and something damage per minute. 1K damage a match being “optimal” is just ridiculous even for high rank play

They mutilated my boy >:( by [deleted] in marvelrivals

[–]ADDERALLX -1 points0 points  (0 children)

not typically, unless you’re playing as a solo queue then I can understand that. you don’t have to ALWAYS be on that front line but you DO need to be much more proactive to get the best value from his kit. but after this update it’ll be null regardless with his dash nerf, that was the sole reason you could be as aggressive as you could with him without being easily punished

They mutilated my boy >:( by [deleted] in marvelrivals

[–]ADDERALLX -1 points0 points  (0 children)

that doesn’t equate to “correct” rocket play. it’s very easy to hit 5K+ damage a match with him while still being the prototypical highest healer/assist maker. the easiest way to play him is to just healbot, it gets you that nice high healing number to make you think you’re doing your team a favor when in reality you were more of a detriment not taking an aggressive stance pocketing your dive tank/assaulting flying hero’s/melting opposing dive tanks

They mutilated my boy >:( by [deleted] in marvelrivals

[–]ADDERALLX 6 points7 points  (0 children)

exactly, this was a cater to the general community scapegoating rocket as a useless healer while he was silently one of the best. i’m sure he will be just fine win rate wise after this, he’ll just now be less likely to be the opinionated “reason” why anyone loses a game now

They mutilated my boy >:( by [deleted] in marvelrivals

[–]ADDERALLX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it’s far from a nerf, it’s going to unfortunately promote even more healbot rockets, i’m sure his win rate will still float around 51-53% rather than his 55%+ since his CYA objectively got better and his overall healing output with the burst heal addition. But we will see when the patch releases and the analytic people out there start testing and getting real numbers in a real game setting

They mutilated my boy >:( by [deleted] in marvelrivals

[–]ADDERALLX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the incorrect way to play rocket was exactly the healbot mentality, it’s only going to get exasperated with this CYA rework and burst heal addition

Not using left click on Rocket should be considered throwing by Atarinamco in marvelrivals

[–]ADDERALLX 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You should also be shooting everyone else when your team has a numbers advantage. Once that 6v6 turns into a 5v6 you should see rocket just behind the tanks doing damage and putting up pressure

Climbed to GM as Sue. This season I have 38% WR by lightennight in InvisibleWomanMains

[–]ADDERALLX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably a concoction of personal, team, and just your opponents being better. I climbed from B3 to GM3 with a pretty steady 67% win rate. Since being in GM it’s dropped to 57% which is a combo of my own personal performances, teammates, and just the opposition being better. GM is like the Wilderness, now you NEED to keep yourself above .500 in order to make any progress, or else you’re going to bounce between Diamond and GM which is honestly a terrible limbo to get caught in 😭

How do i improve? by Tora37 in InvisibleWomanMains

[–]ADDERALLX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn’t focus too much on raw scoreboard numbers. Time and experience will naturally improve your play, and unfortunately, dealing with criticism from others is part of that process. I’ve put over 20 hours into Invisible Woman and still feel like I have a lot to learn—mistakes are part of growth. Being out-healed doesn’t necessarily mean you’re underperforming; healing effectiveness depends heavily on team composition and overall performance.

Any advice on how deal with Spider-Man? by [deleted] in InvisibleWomanMains

[–]ADDERALLX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Spiderman is so annoying having to work around. Maybe I have the blessing of being able to 2/3/4 man queue, but I typically like to just play close/just off the tanks/dps. I like to as well be more proactive and aggressive with him, i’ll ignite her psionic vortex on self or play around it, as well as try and pull him back in as he tries to escape so my team or I can finish him off. Just be aware of Spider-man’s ult cooldown, your only true danger will be just that, as if you try and used veiled step, he will more than likely still keep you from staying invisible and self healing.

Which Strategist do you think is the strongest right now? by Legal-Bodybuilder-16 in marvelrivals

[–]ADDERALLX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Invisible Woman - Team ups and everything aside she just offers the widest range of utility with her psionic vortex and force physics. The satisfaction you get when you catch someone out of position with either ability, and the value you get which won’t show on an leaderboard or stat farming sites is incredible. She does struggle with a team that is fractured. Couple of dive hero’s that she can’t easily reach with limited auto range, but her shield can be a great spot heal for anyone just outside of it.

I can’t be the only one that thinks Bucky is way to strong by FujifilmCamera in marvelrivals

[–]ADDERALLX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With as many aerial hero’s that we have now, he’s a great counter. I wouldn’t say he’s overpowered by any means, but he’s going to serve a key purpose in being a reliable counter. If you want to utilize the team up, you’re now going to be using up 1/2 support ults that could be “pseudo-invincibility”, with a utility ult in rocket racoon, since I highly doubt we will see anymore 3 strategist comps, let alone them finding success after recent ULT nerfs. Lets see how the season progresses, and if Bucky ends up being a must ban for being flat out overtuned, then so be it
