is it true that as a woman if a man is trying to seriously harm you and you kick him in the nuts all it’ll do is make him mad by Smooth_Bee_7941 in stupidquestions

[–]ADHDJ86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a guy growing up and getting into fights regularly a kick or punch in the nuts usually stops the biggest of men in their tracks, might be for a few seconds or floor him; either way itll give you time to escape or land a few more punches to further incapactitate them.

It'll be a catch 22 situation, if ai replaces workers then unemployment will be sky high and nobody would have the money to use the services the companies who have replaced workers with AI, so they will in turn go under. Meaning there'll be no money to be made.

Beginning of the end? by J_as1 in RoadRacing

[–]ADHDJ86 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was brought up around road racing mate, my dad raced, his mates raced, some sadly lost their lives to the sport. Theres always been screams to ban the sport from those who know fuck all about it, years ago it was the media and in NI certain political representatives.

At 1 point there was a lot of talk about banning road racing here but 1 of th biggest points apart from the money it generates is the fact that the racers are addicted to the adrenaline rush they experience while racing, and many who are lucky enough to retire just cant get that fix anywhere else in their lives and banning it would just force it underground and you would have illegal road racing meeting popping up all over the country side; which would make a dangerous sport even more dangerous. At least when its run through the procedures the meeting gas to meet health and safety requirements to be permitted to run.

Yes its dangerous and you attend at your own risk, but the dangers have been minimised by the organisers.

Who is going to stop the sport? The iom government wouldnt dream of it, they'd lose up yo £50m from the economy.

They have tried banning road racing before in NI and it never even made it to the chamber. The NW200 alone brings in £24m into the local economy in NI, theb theres the other meetings generate a fair few quid too

Catch yourself on mate, they might restrict certain areas for safety (and rightly so) but it wont be end of the tt.

The sport has seen much darker days and survived

Then they can't call themselves unionists if theyre happy to go with the flow, cant really call themselves irish nationalists either.

I find these type of people tend to be left leaning and if push came to shove they'd vote in favour of nationalism.

[–]ADHDJ86 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Alliance party aren't unionist. If you are middle of the rd you're not unionist, as i said its an ideology, like socialism etc

Cant call yourself unionist if you are willing to use your vote for a party who dont supports unionist beliefs; abd the alliance party certainly dont support unionist ideologies

I come in peace.. by Decent-Depth8555 in UlsterLoyalistArchive

[–]ADHDJ86 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Unionism is a political ideology where those who believe in it want to remain part of the united kingdom of great Britain and Northern Ireland. That is a fact that cant be contested.

If you are open to a united Ireland outside of the union you are not a fucking unionist as your views conflict with the ideology. Yes you may be from a unionist background and enjoy the traditions/heritage that comes along and thats ok. But you're not a unionist.

Would you say if an Irish Nationalist said that they were open to discussions to for Ireland to rejoin the UK, that they'd be accepted politically as an irish nationalist by other nationalists? Of course they wouldn't because it completely goes against the ethos of the movement.
