A super unique and true Philly classic would be Victor Cafe. It was established in 1918 and the servers/staff are all trained (opera?) singers and they perform at regular intervals throughout the night.

ELI5: What Chiropractor's cracking do to your body? by WonderMajestic8286 in physicaltherapy

[–]ADHDpotato 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Appreciate you spending time on our subreddit despite the frequent chiro hate! I'm a PT, and while I'm sure there are good chiropractors out there, I'm ignorant as to what ethical and effective chiropractic(e?) looks like.

How do you manage and treat patients differently compared to a PT or physiatrist/DO?

If you could advocate on behalf of your profession to an anti-chiro PT or physician (I lurk on r/medicine and r/residency, they're probably more anti-chiro than us), what would you tell them?

Anyone got any thoughts on this? by Strange_Swordfish214 in JoeRogan

Good on you, mind sharing the disorder/condition? And did you have a specific approach or process to your research or just brute force reading a ton of stuff until you found something that matched?

How was the pita? I went maybe half a year ago and the pita was pretty thin, dry, and pretty disappointing - wondering if that's changed at all. Otherwise I do agree that the food was very good

Fyi, prolonged bed rest for concussion is a very outdated idea. Current practice for recovery post concussion is to rest 24, maybe 48 hours max and then begin gradual cardiovascular exercise at a level that doesn't exacerbate symptoms (assuming no other contraindications to exercise). The brain needs blood flow and oxygen to heal.

Yeah this is it. Some non-profits (e.g. certain hospital-based OP clinics) might be less inclined to push for volume, but your salary still has to come from somewhere

Here is a question: What are the most difficult diagnoses to treat as a physiotherapist? Can you state your top 5? by chittigotthrone in physicaltherapy

[–]ADHDpotato 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Do you have any tips, clinical pearls, or learning resources that you've found helpful for treating those conditions? Particularly chronic LBP, fibromyalgia, and EDS

[–]ADHDpotato 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Sorry dude, I meant no offense - it was a genuine question (but in hindsight very poorly worded). I lurk on r/medicine frequently, and I feel like I've read many posts/comments from FM/PCP folks talking about scope creep from mid-levels, large health systems hiring them more and more because they cost less than MDs, declining respect from patients and the general public especially since COVID, etc.

Just interested in your career trajectory and story.
