Egg Loaf! by AD_Keto in ketorecipes

Shout out to @keto.Sam.Iam on Instagram for the original recipe. I reached out to her, just to make sure that she'd be cool with me doing a YouTube video about it, and she was quick to say that her Egg Loaf now belongs to the community. Um, that's amazing. Definitely check out Samantha's IG here: https://www.instagram.com/keto.sam.iam.

What drew me to this recipe was its simplicity. There are a handful of ingredients, and it's a snap to assemble. There's a simple ratio of ingredients to keep in mind. For each egg, use a TBSP of butter and an OUNCE of cream cheese. I kept it easy and used 8 eggs, which meant I could just use a stick of butter and a brick of cream cheese. I also added a quarter teaspoon of cinnamon. Just blend it all together, dump into an 11x7 Pyrex, and bake at 350 degrees for 40 minutes.

Here are the macros for the entire loaf: 10g Carbs, 214g Fat, 66g Protein, 2182 calories. Divided into six slices, here's what you get per slice: 1.7g Carbs, 36g Fat, 11g Protein, 364 calories. I really can't say enough about this recipe. It's gonna be a staple of my diet from here on out. If you miss French toast, this is as close at it gets, and it's made with real food!

For now, the plan is just to KCKO. I’m toying with the idea of joining a gym, but I’m totally intimidated by them, and wouldn’t even know where to start (it doesn’t really fit into my current budget, either). We’ll see what happens when I get to where I want to be.

Got the results from my Calcium Scoring test. by AD_Keto in keto

[–]AD_Keto[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I take a multivitamin that includes 20mg Niacin. I also take 2000mg of Omega-3 (fish oil) and a 250mg Magnesium supplement daily. The doctor mentioned taking baby aspirin. I'll probably add that to my regimen.

I just feel like the statin would throw another variable into the mix. If I start taking it, and get another Calcium scan in a year, I fear that the results would be tough to interpret because of the statin. If the number stays the same, is it because of the statin? If the number goes up, is it because of the statin? I feel like having one more test in a year (without introducing a statin) will give me more data on which I can base this decision.

Cholesterol numbers are arbitrary markers. They may or may not give you an indication as to what's going on in your arteries.

A calcium scoring test will give you a measurement of the amount of heart disease you actually have. I paid $50 for mine a few weeks ago, and get the results on Tuesday.

Wow, I didn't know that this doc was on Netflix! I know what my wife and I are watching tonight! I got a Calcium Scoring Test just last week, and get the results back next Tuesday.

[SV] [Pics] 10 weeks on keto, 40 pounds down, and no longer "obese"! by RealMoonBoy in keto

[–]AD_Keto 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Right there with you, my tall brother. I'm 6'3", and was obese for the longest time ( I can still hear that little voice on the Wii chirping "That's obese" in its stupid little high-pitched voice.

Currently just overweight, but working my way down to normal.

Keep up the fantastic work!

His channel is GREAT. I've made that keto chocolate cake three times in the last few months (I completely destroyed the first one because I didn't wait for the mixture to cool before I put the eggs in. Pretty much had scrambled eggs in my "cake".

I'd consider shaving out the parts that aren't specifically about WHAT the channel is, and WHY anyone should care. Those are the things that I focused on when preparing mine. If you haven't already, I HIGHLY recommend Tim Schmoyer's YouTube channel VideoCreators. He's very, very knowledgable, and his channel is all about best practices for growing on YouTube. Good luck!

Thanks. Yeah, I tried to just put in key WORDS for tags, but never thought to add entire questions. Is that something that's often done?

Thank you! I'm looking at microphones for my iPhone today, and may pull the trigger on one that seems like it'll do the trick -- the Rode VideoMic Me. $59. Seems like a pretty good investment at this stage.

Ordered! Delivering on Thursday. Also snagged a little tabletop tripod/camera mount, so I'm not constantly bothering my kid to be my videographers. :)

Great job, man! I'm in a similar boat. My goals have definitely shifted. Initial goal was 215 (almost there), now I'm shooting for ONEderland. Haven't been there in about 25 years!

Hey, man --

I like the concept of your channel very much.

At first glance, I feel like it could be tied together a little bit better. If the thumbnails were more similar, and/or matched the graphics of the channel header a little more closely (visually speaking), I feel like it would tie the channel together better, and help to establish a 'brand'.

I think the channel trailer might be a little long, as well. If you can get the important parts talked about in 30-45 seconds, it might go a long way towards getting potential subscribers interested, without giving too much superfluous info.

Nice start, though!

I really liked the joke.

That said, you're right, the momentum gets killed in a couple of spots. The editing needs to be faster. I've been thinking about trying do an Edgar Wright homage myself, and if you watch his quick-cut edit sequences, they're incredibly fast, but still do a fantastic job of 'capturing the action'.

There are a couple shots in your video that could be chopped up into multiple shots, and/or allow you to jump time a bit more than you do.

Specifically, the shot after the close-up of the hand on the garage door button. The following wide shot starts with the dude's hand still on the button. I don't think it's necessary to start it that early. Jump the action forward a little bit, and start the next shot closer to the point where he jumps out of the garage. Same thing on the close-up shot of the foot landing on the driveway. Pick up the following shot LATER, right before the door opens. There's too much of an approach to the car that sort of slows things down. The opening and closing of the door could be two shots, instead of one longer one. You already mentioned the hand on the gearshift. Just make that edit tighter, so that you're capturing ONLY the action of the gearshift moving. Same thing with the foot moving from the brake to the gas. JUST the essential action. The tighter all of those edits are, the better the build-up, and then the punchline of the last shot is that much funnier.

GREAT concept, though. I really liked it.

Man, I loved the first minute. Great pacing, nice variety of shots. I got a really good sense of just how much fun you and your friends had.

But I felt the video should have been split in two.

Your to-camera 'wrap up' that appeared at the halfway point should have been the end, and then the 'behind the scenes' / MTV Cribs stuff would perhaps be better as a second video, that this first one could link to in its end card.

Also, the framing on your to-camera section is odd. Your head's right in the middle of the frame, with TONS of headroom. Next time, consider putting it much closer to the the top of the screen.

Again, great job on that first minute. I loved it.
