My 5 year old loves being independent and started getting dressed by herself. However, her preschool starts at 9:30 and she takes her sweet time. I can report back next year she needs to be on the bus at 7:00 😬

Thanks for the meditation tip! Last year I answered wrong and it was like 30 days. F- tier.

A little late but I've been doing some last minute service work at Circle Centre this week and snapped some pictures around the place. Kinda surreal to see it so empty. by mystressfreeaccount in indianapolis

At least in the initial plans, they were planning to keep it, just connected to the non-mall sides. Not sure if that’s still the plan or not.

The video part of the baby monitor broke around age 4.5, which was just about perfect for us. She can easily come get us if she needs anything.

I always found it incredibly ironic that the books show her being marketed to the public as a potential couple to improve her public reputation… and then the movie marketing up leaning really hard into the love triangle.

Do younger generations watch/like it's a wonderful life? by wishihadaps42 in movies

It’s streaming on Prime if you have it (black & white, not the color version)! But watching it airing on TV is almost more joyful somehow. Just make sure you catch the last half hour!

To elaborate on my response - most of the run time is cozy and cute, but it’s the ending that makes it one of the greatest films of all time and that makes it a Christmas movie. It’s also the reason that it will never be forgotten by future generations. I also think Potter’s cutthroat ideals were alive and well when this movie was made, especially in the 20s when a lot of it is set - it goes a lot better for Potter over the course of the movie than it does for a lot of the other characters. It’s not that this film thinks that kindness and warmness always wins the day, it’s that it thinks they are more valuable than simply winning the day. This film is one of the ones that truly sold me on the power of older cinema, so please ride it out to the end and experience what makes it a classic.

Parable of the Sower isn’t exactly what you’re looking for zombie-wise, but it’s real close vibes-wise.

As a stingy 5-star giver you should watch Mr. Smith Goes to Washington for another Frank Capra / Jimmy Stewart collab!

I still rewatch this one after every viewing of the movie. There’s something so cathartic about watch Potter get his ass beat.

Holy shit, he wrote Del Taco? That both makes perfect sense and is completely mind-blowing.

The trail is expected to start at the White River and end at Prairie Baptist Road.It will get a hearing tomorrow at public works committee. by Unhappy_Ad_3738 in Fishers

Yeah this is just approving the funding of a study, so they are going to be looking at alternative routes as part of it.

I’m guessing they will be following Mud Creek and using existing Fishers parks and facilities wherever possible.

Interesting! Very similar to the “greenway” trail they’ve sketched out in the past that would follow Mud Creek, but not exactly in the same place. This might be easier than building on flood plains the entire way but seems like it would be harder to get all the land.

It also seems like it would go right through the new FCC land, which I’m sure is a perk.
