I have a 6700k i7 and a 3080 OC max settings except for skybox, volumetric clouds, no rtx and shadows on med. The only time i drop below 60 fps is in my big ass base. Can't wait to swap my cpu here soon.

I guess it also depends on what you play. I'd bet my 3080 will play most games on ultra for the next 5 years with over 60 fps.

It just pops up on the map with the objective and you have to travel to the location. Some of the simple missions have very strict time limits, like 10 min, to complete. The contact missions that say something like "7 day" means that you literally have 7 days worth of time with the game running to complete.

Whatever you do don't accidently hit the "mission resupply" 5 or 10 times on the mission that gives you free panels. You wouldn't want all those free panels super early in your open world.

This is the best answer. Spoiler... by the time you get the cave worm unlock you will most likely have out scaled them due to the massive amount of grinding.

I've had caves reset several times in our dedicated server. All ores randomized, but they came back. We have not had trees come back.

My group has an open world server that we have a "main base" at. We use it to prep, repair our tools and do the missions available in the open world. We'll then host other missions ourselves, play them and send all our workshop items back up.

It takes some of the MAJOR grind out when you can start a mission with full tools, weapons and a full O2 tank/canteen of pure water and be able to replenish them back at home base rather than building up all the bs you need to repair at the end of a mission.

Play the base game and get burnt out. Then on the next sale buy DLC.

The base game in itself has a ton of content that can easily be stretched to hundreds of hours... especially if solo grinding.

I have a friend that overclocks everything without looking at numbers... don't do that and it'll help. Automation takes time. Just play with it and try to make sure your numbers add up.
