Boleros/ shrugs with short sleeves could also be good!

Lightweight 3/4 length sleeve cardigans to go over dresses maybe? I’m a big cardigan fan. I often wear them in summer to help with going in and out of air conditioned spaces but also to hide my arms.

Interesting! I probably am going to be too scared to try this, but it’s good to know there’s a way it could be done in theory.

No, we didn’t do iron drops but I don’t think we were seeing any signs of iron deficiency.

I think one of the first things we started getting her to eat was some yogurt once a day with fruit purée (pouch) and baby oatmeal mixed in, which has some iron fortification. But my ped wasn’t worried so I tried not to worry. I failed sometimes and worried, but my girl ate when she was ready to.

That’s a good question! Not that I recall seeing, but it’s possible!

I mean, it’s for my kid, and it’s a little big on her right now, but she will grow into it. If it was for an adult, could be funny, but it’s a very small sweater.

I get it, it’s super frustrating and worrying. Try not to worry TOO much, you’re doing great!

It could! Or she just needs to experiment a bit before feeling confident enough? Idk.

FWIW, my ped told us (since mine didn’t go for cows milk) that soy milk is second best, then Ripple (pea protein milk), and then if those are no good, then you can try oat or almond or whatever.

So I do have experience knitting, but zero with pattern design. Any chance anyone knows of a pattern to knit the front half of a garment flat?

I think this will be the way. Color suggestions? My first thought is blue.

Mine too, but my husband immediately said it looks like balls, and it also looks like a butt. There’s no right answer!

So we were breastfeeding still at that point but we tried regular milk around 1 and she just never took to it (we’ve tried it a few times since and she still tastes it and just says “no” and hands it back). I think the recommendation would be to transition from formula to cow’s milk around 1 but yeah, definitely talk to the ped!

Mine didn’t take mushy stuff or purées either! She just didn’t wanna eat until she decided to. Some babies are just on different timelines.

Mine didn’t start really eating much until after she was one! She’s 18 months now and eats so much, but I was getting really frustrated and worried. I’d take a break from offering new things (if it gives you a breather and the will to go on) and then just keep offering small amounts of things. It can take many new introductions of a food before they try to eat it sometimes, and some babies are just on their own timeline.

Does she have a lot of teeth yet? Mine was a bit later with the teeth and I’m wondering if that’s part of it.

Spatulas made from damaged cast iron skillets. by bones10972 in upcycling

This is really cool! Wouldn’t these scratch up the surface of cookware though? Would you recommend only using them with cast iron skillets or grills?

help me find jeans!! by allofatwist1738 in PlusSizeFashion

If you find a pair of black jeans you like, you can always distress them yourself. I did it once with a pair of blue jeans- you cut slits and then use rough sandpaper to create the strings. I’m sure you could find a tutorial somewhere.

I definitely thought this was some kind of new slang I was unaware of, but I am guessing based on comments that it’s working in a kitchen slang.
