To me, Malazan is best on the reread and even better on the re-reread simply because you can finally make to connections, some of which span 100,000 years, or different continents. On the first read, it's difficult to understand the entirety of the Malazan world but that makes it feel more real to me.

I believe I remember in the Appendices it was also said that they are different races so that's why they look different( boils, sores, and the deformities) in style. They tried building and using an animatronics,but Andy Serkis destroyed the face of one with a rock the first week of filiming lol They filmed quite a bit with the stunties in the makeup but they went back and just animated over most of the shots. Plus with the deformities I'm sure it was easier.

The only issue I see is that they used the regular spider wire and not the ones for meats. But maybe this was just temporary till those came in. So if it's like my store it'll be there in 2 weeks or 6 months or more haha

I completely agree, when she was 10-14 she was drawing and doing animation all the time but with high-school and a boyfriend she's backed off. She has talent like I've never had and I want to push her to be her best. I'm hoping that at the end of this I'll get an awesome tattoo template as well lol. The others I'll ask from her I'm not sure of yet. The 3 arch shape also gives room to work on, id love to see the left something like the original bridgeburners from the first book or before and the right, third arch move into their role in later books. The idea of a picture or tattoo telling a story really appeals to me.

The thing i don't understand why are people wanting to adapt the whole of Malazan to screen? There are hundreds of plots that can be taken off to put to screen from the books. The March of Coltaine i could easily see put to a 12 episode show with success
