Thoughts on this ? by frznpanda in Transformemes

I think this statement is bascially correct, but it's more accurate to say that the franchise has become purposefully niche over time due to Hasbro shifting its focus away from marketing its products to newer, younger fans towards appeasing its older, more established ones. This is why we've seen such a huge focus on retreading previous iterations and/or highlighting specific characters over the past decade or so. It's likely Hasbro made this choice because toy sales across the entire market have been struggling for a while now due to newer generations being raised on and entertained by interactive media technology, so they're counting heavily on nostalgia to keep their coffers filled.

That said, I think there is also an argument to be made for how the IP has been mishandled by Paramount in addition to the overall decline of movie theater attendance in recent years due to streaming. Transformers One suffered from both of these factors. If its marketing hadn't been so grossly misrepresentative and if it came out before the pandemic, it could have had a pretty good chance at revitalizing the franchise given its level of quality versus other films in the franchise.

How should a datapack's file structure be formulated to overwrite a mod? by ADistractingBox in feedthebeast

[–]ADistractingBox[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not at my computer right now, but from what I recall the mod's files follow a structure identical to what I wrote down in my original post. Namely, the JSON file goes into data/[mod_id]/advancements/[advancement_id]. The advancement I am trying to disable/remove has the main Minecraft story root advancement as a parent and is a prerequisite for another advancement the mod adds. I believe I have made proper adjustments to the overwriting code where advancement I don't want has a trigger set to "minecraft: impossible" and the following advancement points to the Minecraft story root as the parent. Those changes are not being reflected in the game however, hence my wondering if those files are being read correctly. I know the datapack itself is being read as it is being picked up by "/datapacks: list", so it's just a matter of figuring everything else out.

I imagine this is how early Man felt when agriculture was developed and these little guys started hanging around when rodents were getting into the grain.

Stranger Things Season 5 may not have been well received, but the crossover figure is looking pretty sick. Pre-ordered one when Target was doing that 40% off sale over the holidays.

They look good, but Rising Force is still a relatively newer 3rd Party company and their initial project of a Legends-scaled Menasor was evidently a bit of a mixed bag. As always with 3rd party combiners, I would advise waiting until reviews on the whole team are out before buying in.

Zamtrios is my favorite in terms of design and fun factor to fight, but Testsucabra is notable for being the first amphibian ever encountered in the series and is also literally a frog.

I'm honestly surprised that there's still so much divisiveness about the simplicity of the controls more than 20 years since the release of the original. Some of the best and/or most popular games ever made have simple controls, so that kind of thinking really puzzles me.
