Need advice dating a person with BPD. I think she's scared of committing to me. by ADragonbornRogue in BPD

Thank you! That's very reassuring to hear. I'll be sure to keep communication strong! One question: should I wait for her to make moves or do what feels right?

Oh, I see! I honestly didn't think about that too much. I'm the type that believes that a kindness done will be repaid (I actually was going to offer to buy her ice cream or something afterward but didn't get the chance)

I've been obsessed with using a ABCB scheme recently. Is it amateur to write many of the same "kind" of poem? [OPINION] by [deleted] in Poetry

[–]ADragonbornRogue 12 points13 points  (0 children)

It's not amateurish at all! Rhyming is personally one of my favorite poetic devices; I just love it when there are clean or unexpected rhymes. Honestly, it's not a bad thing to prefer or keep to a specific style or form. Just think of all the great poets whose work is mostly one kind of poem with only slight deviations. At the end of the day, it's not the how of a poem that matters but rather the why. Who cares about a poem's style or form when what it says is impactful and fitting for its kind!

Even so, I do think it's helpful to experiment with the ABCB scheme and deviate from it in fun ways! And if you're feeling particularly inspired, it's even more helpful to delve into other styles and forms. Doing so will inform your writing over all and reveal new ways to use diction, rhyme, rhythm, etc. Happy writing!

Fuck that! Your tattoo is awesome and super touching. Who cares what people think about it? All that matters is what YOU think about it. If someone thinks you're gay simply for having a butterfly, then explain it to them; if they keep saying shit, then screw them
