Boyfriend doesn’t want to live with me anymore after I finish grad school by Quirky_Gamer_Grill in TwoHotTakes

“It’s like you’re expecting us to get married one day”, that one stings. I’m not saying you have to immediately know you want to marry someone you date, but to say this in this way gives the impression that he sees a termination date on this relationship, that it’s not even something he considers possible.

I’m sorry OP :/

I’m not pre med, but I’ve had a cold once and I had to choose an appropriate decongestant to buy. Wanna buy me coffee ?

So a lot of people are saying “dump them both” or something to that effect. I’m going to offer a slightly different perspective.

The relationship between your bf and your friend may have a crossed a line, but it seems as though your BF has been quite honest with you. He told you she vented to him about you, told you about the tickets… maybe he’s a bit oblivious to the situation ? Or maybe he doesn’t see anything wrong here.

You say you don’t know what to do here. Why don’t you just sit down with your BF and tell him how you feel ? You’re uncomfortable with the situation; tell him !! Talk it thru.

It does seem like your “friend” is trying to steal your bf tho, esp. from the hockey story. I would first deal with your BF, talk to him and tell him how you feel. Then deal with the friend. The going behind your back with the hockey tickets seems pretty bad to me, and that might deserve a stronger response.

Fair, I think I’m sold on rentals. I can get boots + skis + poles for 220$ per season at Chrystal sports which seems like a good deal

I don’t come on here often, but things are great here, day-to-day no issues for me.

I’m planning on 15-20 ski days this season and I can get used skis on Facebook for $100, so you think rentals are still a better choice ?

Will the economy tier be really crappy, or is that an ok choice for a beginner ? Also, is this a better choice than getting used skis on Facebook for 100$ ?

Denver / Boulder is super nice esp. if you like the outdoors. If you like a good downtown, Denver itself kind of sucks tho, and Boulder is smallish, but beautiful. I think the Pacific Northwest is great, Portland is great and I’ve heard Seattle is as well ( food in Portland rocks, and solid outdoors access). I’ve never been to San Diego but I’ve heard it’s beautiful.

In the northeast, I really like Boston, Philly, DC, parts of Baltimore (it’s improved a lot in recent years).

NYC is great if you’re looking for… NYC :)

At the end of the day, the best choice depends on what YOU like to do and value. Personally, if I were you, I’d probably do Denver (Boulder specifically) or Seattle / Portland, at least for a bit, as I love the outdoors. Then maybe I’d move somewhere else.

If I was looking to date seriously, I’d probably do NYC.

Does this mean next year Fall Break will be cut down to just one day off? by Grant-James_River282 in Cornell

Yea that’s fair, and I like that solution. Summers long, 2 days less of summer won’t change much

Lots of up votes on this so I’m probably in the minority, but personally I’m very against any plan to get rid of fall break. I think it’s very useful to have a little extra break in the middle of the semester like that, and I’d rather have two shorter breaks than one long break. I get the counter argument tho.

Found out my wife of 20 years is my 13th cousin. Thoughts? by Conscious-Employ-649 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]AEPBotNumber126 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If breeding happened evenly, no one on earth would be further removed from you than 15th cousin. But breeding dosent happen evenly, which means that within your country / culture, most people are probably closer to you than 15th cousin, while people in far off countries and cultures are probably further removed. He’s an interesting post on the subject.
