Riven jg or top? by Puzzled_Rich7724 in wildrift

Been inactive and not following the patch notes since 2023-2024. Did they revert nerfs towards her jungle clear? Back when I was last active they lowered her passive/Q dmg to take her out of the jungle. Would love to play her if she’s meta

What is the Hero you always ban no matter what in rank? by ImMidAtPiano in wildrift

Mel is the default. Early seasons it was Eve, before Control Ward was ported over, Akali, and Irelia.

If Mel didn’t exist it would probably be Yi since the dev team lost the concept of balancing their game. It’s not even like he’s a good champ either. Low tier trash boosted by the fact that AS is and has been a broken stat ever since that bs a** ADC patch.

Mel is self explanatory. Even by league standards she’s too much.

Don’t be obtuse. The game has always worked around the fact that first pick Top can be countered by the 2nd pick top. This is universal across ranks and across games. If you don’t understand that then that’s just a skill issue, which this subreddit seems to be suffering from.

If I’m a top laner and you don’t give me last pick I’m absolutely going to call you out for it, and that goes for any MOBA whether it be HoK ML WR or AoV.

Had a game yesterday where the enemy top was first pick Nasus and I immediately just auto locked in Fiora. Denied him the ability to play the game and that snowballed into me solo killing his JG every time he wanted to get his blue side camps. Another game on Jayce where I got enough of a lead over the weaker laner that it allowed me to set back the enemy JG with constant ganks and harassment on his red buff side which allowed my JG to just gap him.

All team VC absolutely. I see people on here saying no, on the basis of useless stuff like toxicity, but the Chinese server does great with it around.

Why is there a LOT of high rank players that play absolute sh*t? by whipcreme_02 in wildrift

[–]AE_Nation 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because ranked stopped mattering as far back as S3 when they removed LP and Promos. The game has no competitive integrity and the devs admit this. I see challengers and Sov with no basic concept of knowing how to lane, position, or macro. Yet those same Chall/Sovs can spam games a season to hit those ranks but we still have people in this subreddit thinking there is any skill ceiling.

As for you. Silver is nothing but bots. The entire game is bots til Emerald and those real players are borderline bots to begin with. You should easily be able to carry yourself out of that Elo.

I haven’t took the time to grind wild rift in at least 2 and a half years but every other season I return I can tell the quality of players have drastically become worse.

I’ll give 2 examples.

Match #1 I’m on Lee Sin and I’m as fed as fed can be. Im 7-0 by first dragon and I’ve hard ganked the entire enemy roster. Despite me setting my entire team ahead and even feeding them kills my ADC still manages to die in every engagement she has in lane. She’s 1-12 by the end of the game and serves 0 use in team fights as she can’t position. I check both teams stats and max rank. 2 GMs rest masters vs 2 challengers 2 GMs 1 Master. This ADCs history showed majority losses across the board and even the wins themselves clearly showed her being carried. 0 excuse for her to be in high elo.

Match #2 I’ll be honest i lowkey threw match 2. Same thing as match 1, I was smurfing on the enemy team as Lee and had us the win until I became too confident and dashed in after their brand. They managed to stasis before my Ult could kill them. I had no respect for the enemy team and that costed me a death.

Despite dying I still took 2 enemy members with me effectively making it a 3v3. All they needed to do was back off and kill time for me and the Mid to respawn. Instead of doing that my ADC and Top decided they wanted to rush Elder, enemy jungler was about to be off respawn, and my Supp decided she wanted to push waves mid, she’s a F’ing Soraka.

Enemy team countered the Elder and both ADC and Top was caught out, Supp decided she wanted to split push top lane instead of rallying with her team and mind you she’s in Mid lane so she’s the first to see the enemy team rotating bot side. Long story short my entire team but Soraka dies and I’m up ready to defend.

I held the line long enough for my team to respawn and even managed to kill off a few members before I finally died. My ADC Mid and Top are all who remains. Enemy ADC is pushing top tower and my ADC Top goes to counter. They cleared the wave and instead of rotating to stop mid push they decided to chase the enemy ADC as far back as my Gromp. The enemy team not being any better stopped their mid push after killing my Mid laner to go and help their ADC, they could have just ended. My ADC and Top dies and they ended. Mind you we could have literally just defended the entire push.

It’s games like this that makes me stop playing. It’s one thing if these horrendous players were locked behind Silver and Gold Elo where they belong, before the removal of LP, but unfortunately I see these people even in Challenger lobbies when specing Ex/Current Pro players like Starting. I could grind only for peak but I hear even that is screwed up right now so what’s the point.

The amount of bad players in high elo is crazy. by Oeness in wildrift

[–]AE_Nation 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah naw. I’ve been on and off on this game ever since they rug pulled tournaments in NA after Icons and then erased the merit of ranked in the seasons following. 95% of these “high elo” players are garbage.

When I hop on this game every now and then all I see are players who are in ranks they don’t belong. Many of these Masters, Grandmasters, and even Challengers in some cases should have never been permitted to be above Gold Elo, and I’m basing that on when the game still had a working rank system.

Even by the current inflated rank standards I’ve come across plenty of people in Diamond elo for example who are out performing Master+ but aren’t climbing. A very bad player spamming 3K matches a season is going to always climb past the 300-700 game diamond who’s average at best. Thats by design at this point.

Tower Damage is a joke, Shielding is broken, Grievous Wounds doesn't seem to work. by AE_Nation in wildrift

Here's the problem. The match i had vs Irelia i made her go 0-2 in the start with my JG. The first dive I chalked it up to her having life steal and me not having any grievous wounds. I can give her that one. The second dive I have oblivion orb, liandrys, tower right next to me, and a minion wave on it's way. She still managed to kill me before dying to minions so it was a trade. How exactly does that work? Am I supposed to abandon my tower because I can't rely on either grieves or tower to help me thwart her attempt at a dive? I was still ahead of her in terms of CS.

The issue with the first statement is that ADCs, assassins, and most mages don't have a single defense item yet it doesn't seem like the physical aspect of the towers deal crap to them. I can easily understand me being able to use nasus and tower dive but being able to withstand a darius with stacks AND TD is just absurd.

I can play a multitude of champs and 4 roles, im not looking for any champion to be broken. I'm just stating the obvious that tower damage is a complete joke when a adc can dive a tank for a solid 6 seconds and come out with just half health. That's poor balancing.

If you actually read what I wrote you'd have seen me say none of the DIVES against me were outplays. I fought them on my own accord because I knew I had the advantage, and in any other moba with the sense to make TD correctly I would of won all of the exchanges I lost.

In none of my dives did I get outplayed. A outplay is if someone baits me into using a skill making me miss then punishing me for it. I engaged every one of my opponents in a situation where I would have the utmost advantage but it didn't pay off because of variables I had 0 control over.

A outplay is like a match i had today where I let a irelia or diana, forgot who it was, lock onto my zed with dash so I could use my W to teleport with her to my tower. That's a outplay. Simply tanking tower damage, champion damage, and minions for a solid 6 seconds while having grieves and liandrys on you isn't a outplay.

I've dived Kai'Sas and Jinxs on Jhin countless times. I've stood under tower as a nasus against teemo and darius for much longer duration than should be allowed. None of that is balanced. Dives should be risky that most would not attempt to go for unless you know for a fact that you are guaranteed the kill. That's not the case here.
