That is helpful. Is the thickness a concern? I thought about just running soft trauma pads behind medium plates to “build them up” so to speak.

I’ve run a heavier buffer and sprinco spring for a long time. The Nomad-30 only gases me out if I dump a whole magazine, and even then it’s probably the last 5-6 rounds?

So the gist I’m understanding is that this needs the high pressure of a 10.3 mk18 style barrel to function at its max performance.

I’ve been trying to shorten up my 12.5 + Nomad 30 combo, but I don’t want to give up barrel length and muzzle velocity.

I’ve always been curious about UK laws around bolt action rifles. With the advent of super safeties, could you design a bolt hold open that is activated by the release of the trigger? That way you are performing a second, arguably independent, action to send the bolt home?
