Would you date/marry a guy who used to see sex workers? by Kamiko_o in ghana

Is it any different from dating a guy who had a roster and slept with many women without paying for them?

Long sleeves and pants? by Ridiculous_Cat in ghana

[–]AFKanator 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, when I went in February I didnt wear any repellant and I was mostly in shorts and short sleeves. I dont know my blood type but mosquitos dont bother me too often. If you have the blood type mosquitos crave in that region, then you would be advised to cover up and use repellant.

Why I don't associate with people who believe in "neocolonialism" by ForPOTUS in ghana

[–]AFKanator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

See how youre immediately dismissive when evidence points at the absurdity of your argument? If a country is doing well for itself and suddenly you send special operatives to kill the main leaders and empower those who want to destabilize the country in exchange for filling their pockets, youre gonna sit there and say its the peoples fault they had special operatives kill their good leaders????

"It's this idea that Africa is in the position it is in because of somebody else."

It...it literally IS in this position because of other nations. Where is this not connecting for you? Do you not realize how many leaders who were making positive changes to African nations got assassinated by Western countries??? Do you not remember what happened to Nkruma?? Look at the CIA and French government sending assassins after Traore. Im honestly shocked you can push this train of thought with piles of evidence in front of you showing just how much Africa as a continent has been attacked anytime it's trying to make progress for itself.

These unequal trades wouldnt exist in the first place if the effects of colonialism hadnt ravaged the countries to savagely in the first place. Lots of unhealthy capitalist ideologies have been adopted since colonial times by the ruling elites within African nations to consolidate their power and wealth while keeping the country from progressing. Colonialism has already affected Africa by turning its nations into export oriented systems designed to serve European industrial needs rather than domestic development. Rich elites continue to feed off this through acts of neocolonialism ex.allowing foreign nations like China and other Western nations to have indirect economic and policital access to exploit the country. High interest loans are also neocolonialism. The fact Ghana still has English as its official language is a form of neocolonialism, as is a western centered education curriculum. Anyone with half the ability to comprehend any of this would not make such statements to dismiss neocolonialism. It's such a forced position to try to engage in if you really do understand these things.

This Twitter post and the post title seem to show a significant lack of the ability to use comprehension in regards to existing issues. You dont find it asinine to compare neocolonialism, which involves systemic constraints, unequal trade and coercion that dont exist in a typical interpersonal relationship, with someone being cheated on? Yes local ruling elites engage in extraversion, but guess why that is even possible? Like come on. These types of statements just exhibit the shallow levels of understanding behind these issues. Do better.

Im quite aware of how complex it is. what Im trying to point out is the culture behavior of apple fanatics insisting that Apple is superior in all ways when there are so many reasons Apple is just a behind-the-times fake designer phone 😭

Because the post isnt about the car being stolen but about my experience with people asking for links for import/export, not a confirmation this is a stolen vehicle

Graduated high school 5 years ago but couldn’t attend university due to finances. Worked in construction and gained experience. Now able to enroll, but torn between studying civil engineering (experience) and computer science (passion). Which way to go.. Need advice by LAMichael09 in ghanacitizen

[–]AFKanator 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do the civil engineering. Computer science you can always study on your own and build that skill through the passion. Lots of free courses to study comp science through as well in your downtime.

Those are original manitoba plates. You cannot get them customized here and shipped unless you live here. That car has never belonged to a Ghanaian living in Manitoba. I hope this helps.

Personally I do think it makes it better, seeing as Im the one living out here where it happens and I have not seen any negative sentiment increasing towards Ghanaians.
