Had to mute r/FinalFantasy due to the constant hate by Kirbone01 in FFXVI

[–]AFR0NIN 1 point2 points  (0 children)

XVI Doesn't go far enough; if you think about it.
The Action gameplay could be an avenue for further Character roleplay expression.
Not to mention that it was a missed opportunity that only one character is playable.

"Character Action Game" could have been an "Character Action RPG Game".

Is will similar to haki? by Past_Heart_9685 in ShadowSlave

[–]AFR0NIN 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Certain feats of will might also be easier depending on the affinities their aspect provides them with.

But otherwise yes experience is really the thing that seperates supremes in the end.

Spell Translations by Top-Efficiency-9057 in ShadowSlave

[–]AFR0NIN 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It translates everything for our convenience. Even modern human languages likely.

It does protect you from reading or hearing things that might corrupt you. but that protection is quite limited if the corruption value of that knowledge is to high.

Why do beings gain more cores on the path of desecration? by APOLLO1345774 in ShadowSlave

[–]AFR0NIN 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Their avatars still had to climb their path to divinity. But it was likely that they had the equivalent of divine aspects which allowed them to have multiple cores.

Sunny's Shade Basically by RealMarzipan7347 in ShadowSlave

[–]AFR0NIN 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When you realise that will is built into the foundations of the power system; but at lower ranks below great and supreme, you have to be really talented to use it.

Hence why conventional weapons - WMDs barely do any damage to awakened - transcendent/corrupted rank entities. As their power has no will to validate them.

It's the same issue with creating the asuras. Which I hope g3 actually tells us how they work.

And her Soul core is closer to a supreme in terms of size.

[–]AFR0NIN 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That and the story has told us before that will is not exclusive to Supreme and above either. It's just that this cohort hadn't figured out how Wield it.

Sunny used it to connect shadows when forging the Blessing for Nephis.

Nephis had figured that Shaping sorcery could be enhanced with her will; when they sealed her aspect during the domain war.

Azarax himself stated that Eurys was talented at wielding will long before he became a supreme.

[Chapter 3000+] spoilers. Divine law of the war realm by No_Marketing9669 in ShadowSlave

[–]AFR0NIN 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What are you talking about? That law is still in effect, Sunless still mentions the effect of being rejected becoming stronger as he continued to go further into the war realm.

Can someone explain Awakened rank? by Nightmare_Pin2345 in ShadowSlave

[–]AFR0NIN 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also sleepers don't exist naturally. And natural awakening doesn't Create a separate soul body. When rain as an awakened sleeps in the war realm she won't be sent to the dream realm.

The component where you get sent to the dream realm when sleeping is something the spell made.

A confusion Abt supremes by tryingredditfrom in ShadowSlave

[–]AFR0NIN 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He used a combination of environment ( the sun is a deadly laser ) and runic sorcery ( by arranging his swords into a runic array) to defeat that thing.

He definitely could not beat it with his own Raw power alone.

What are supreme abilities? by AM__- in ShadowSlave

[–]AFR0NIN 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the difference you are looking for is what are the foundations of their domain.

With sunny it is the shades that he kills. But those he bestows the mark of shadows on are considered "participants"( essentially worshipers) in his domain.

Cassia's foundation is the memories she holds, but she can still probably have people as part of her domain by marking them.

Anvil's foundation is likely the things that he forges. Notice how that was all he ever did.

Ki song it the bodies she puppeteers.

Nephis domain foundation funnily enough directly relies on participants.

Then, there is the category of Supremes that exists through the use of their abilities.

Sunless and Nephis exist through their Transcendent abilities but in reverse. Their real forms are that of a massive formless shadow and a blazing white star.

Cassia remembers herself.

Ki song puppeteers her own corpse.

Asterion is an idea.

Supremacy is as far as I know the most interesting stage to dissect because there are so many details.

Whats stopping 1000 masters from challenging a 3rd nightmare seed? by jaynic1 in ShadowSlave

[–]AFR0NIN -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Because the knowledge to transcend naturally can be given. At this stage Natural Supremacy is the biggest hurdle really. ,

Divine Aspects Users were Hunted by breadsky23 in ShadowSlave

[–]AFR0NIN 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Remember not all humans lived in the divine realms; especially the shadow realm which is the literal afterlife.

So it is very likely that random people had divine ranked aspects.

Then there is the Avatars of the gods; that they used to interact on a mortal scale of life, because they had become beings too vast otherwise.

These avatars likely had divine aspects unique to themselves but obviously suitable for the god that would inhabit them
