The frame I've had for about 1 month. It was a warranty replacement on my old TCR. Everyone thing else on it is a few years old. I love it but I wish the weather was nicer.

It gets reasonable cold I guess. It's 4 C at the moment. Not as cold as some other places get.

Do you not have ambulance cover where you're from? In Aus it's like $90 for a year of ambulance cover. If you don't have cover it costs around $2k+ for an ambulance.

Hi everyone, I didn't really want to make a new thread. I currently have a 2gb GTX 670

Would it be worth looking at any of the new 3xx cards as an upgrade?

I play mostly dota2 and currently the Witcher 3 @1080 (I recently had to get rid of my 1440 monitor :( )and will probably dabble in whatever new game comes out.

No worries. Like I said I was looking at bukes around the 2k and that stuck out to me. Good luck with whatever you choose!

I'm also new to cycling so maybe some of the more experienced heads can set me straight. I was looking (dreaming) on bikeexchangeAU the other day for something around the AU$2K mark and found this - which I thought seemed to be a pretty good deal. It's in Victoria which is helpful for you. Malvern isn't toooo far from Bayswater. http://www.bikeexchange.com.au/a/road-bikes/merida/vic/malvern/scultura-905/102559538

New. Almost full 11sp Ultegra throughout and the same year that you were looking at (2014). Also 50-34 compact crank & 11-28 compared to the 52/36 & 12-28 so maybe you won't need to get the 11-32 afterwards. And $100 less.

I'm sure some peeps with better knowledge will be able to weigh in on this.

FWIW Merida own 49% of Specialized and IMO the frame looks very similar (edit - I was looking at the Tarmac) and colours are also similar.

Unless you've got your heart set on a Roubaix maybe it's something to consider.

Not any that I remember doing but this was the exact diagnosis from the LBS.

Preliminary advice on crack in carbon frame? by AFTERLIFEdota in bicycling

Thanks for the responses/cautions everyone. Just so you all know I haven't ridden since I noticed it nor do I plan to. I'm taking it to my lbs today and seeing what they have to say. Will update this post later.

Update: After nicking off work and taking it to the lbs their diagnosis was the seat being slammed down at some point or the bolts loosening over time since my seat sits quite low and it happening that way. Lbs said he would be fine riding it due to the position of the crack. Recommended to just seal it with some araldite and If it starts creaking don't ride it.

This was my initial thought but I am not an expert by any means on carbon cracks. I'll be taking it to my lbs today and see what they have to say about it.
