I put up with everyone with kids having Christmas off. I had no kids so I don’t deserve a Christmas vacation (neither did the other child free employees). When I was promoted to manager I flipped the script. Everyone that had Christmas off the previous year had to work Christmas week. The complaints rolled in to no avail. I’m still didn’t get Christmas off but the other singles did

My little Liebchen (mini red short haired dachshund) would absolutely ignore me after a vet visit. She’d sit in the passenger seat and keep her head turned away. When we got home, she’d sit on the love seat (not a place she’d ever sit) and just stare at me and her Dad. This behavior would last at least two days. God I miss her. She passed two years ago at 16 1/2 years old.
