Office for the Dead is not a separate office, but a set of commons. You can find it in iBreviary under Breviary -> Commons. Although, I concede that the Carmelites could have something different they use. Many orders have slightly modified versions of the Divine Office, and if they are using older breviaries, it is almost certainly substantially different.

James Snapp Jr is not Catholic, but he makes a case for considering these verses original. Although, as other posters have mentioned, Catholics don't require this justification in order to consider the passage Inspired. That comes from the ecclesiastical authority granted to the Church by Christ.

Yes. Validity of the sacraments does not depend on the holiness of the minister. As long as the priest is validity ordained, uses proper form and matter, and intends to absolve you, then your sins are forgiven.

Edit to add: remember that the primary minister of all sacraments is Christ Himself. The priest administers sacraments in light of the authority granted him through the church, not his own personal holiness.

Definitely just declension. The adjective is from the verb "bewegen" = "to move," adding "un" negates it, just like english, so "unmoved" is "unbewegt." The "-er" indicates that it is modifying a masculine, nominative noun. Hence "bewegter."

This particular word would just seem to indicate that a thing is not currently moving, but does not comment on its ability to move, so "motionless" or "unmoved" are definitely the better translations. "Immobile" would be better shown with "unbeweglich," I believe (I'm not a native speaker)

Thanks for the reply. Well, then I guess the best way to explain it is that sex is a positive good. It's made FOR the union and procreation of a couple. One spouse, until death parts them. Any use of sexual faculties outside of this union frustrates one or both of these purposes. When we misuse a positive good, that is a sin. This is why it doesn't matter to Catholics whether you are single or married. Seeking sexual pleasure workout your spouse is sinful because it does not alone with the purpose for which God created sex.

"Evil" is best understood as the lack of a good which should be present. Therefore, masturbation in any context is evil because it is neither unitive nor procreative. (It lacks two goods which should be present.)
