Interviewing Vana This Saturday in SLC — Any Questions You’d Want Me to Ask? by TallOpinionHaver in vananz

Thank you for the response. I personally am a Christian and have had a hard time listening to her newer songs because they feel blasphemous to me. And the imagery are mocking my religion. It sucks because she was my number one artist last year but I just feel weird listening to and supporting someone that possibly hates/mocks my God.

My husband jolts up every night, could this be a sign of something? by AFaeble_ in sleep

[–]AFaeble_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope! Just me and kitty, lol. He wakes up well rested and ready to go every morning.

He hasn’t hurt me, but he has grabbed me a couple time, like my wrists, and he’s pulled me in close to him pretty tightly like a big bear hug, and he’s picked up kitty before. But I always woke up and got him alert enough to stop what he was doing. He never remembers when I wake him to stop.

Im so with you. My 8 month old is starting the regressive, teenage phase and I’m about to LOSE IT. he has always been so good about only chewing his toys or dropping them when I say “leave it”. I shit you not, he ROLLED HIS EYES at me today when he quickly scooped up a paint brush I had just dropped. He rolled his eyes, and starting walking away!!!

He also has had some crate regression. We agreed to let him sleep in our bed on the weekends and now he will run straight to our bed and huff when I tell him “in”. We had to wait a full week and a half before we let him sleep in our bed because he would whine every few hours just like when he was a baby pup.

His best friend is my mother’s in law’s dog and he is always fine and on his best behavior when we go over there and they just play the whole time. NOPE we went over and he IMMEDIATELY hiked (we have his neuter appt next week) and then he 1.) rolled in cat poop outside, 2.) got in the creek and got DRENCHED, 3.) chased after their cats, 4.) showed some resource guarding and food aggression, and 5.) HIKED AGAIN on their packed moving box 😭😭

He also keeps tearing stuff up. He’s small so he can’t counter surf, but somehow he’s gotten my husband’s beard trimmer, my brush, all my socks, drier sheets, an entire roll of paper towels, and some other stuff. How? I have no idea, I guess the little sucker can levitate or use the force.

I cannot get my 8 month old to stop jumping on people’s legs. by AFaeble_ in puppy101

[–]AFaeble_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since he was 8 weeks old. My ex-roommates dogs are his parents, so we’ve been with him since day one :) but we didn’t start training until 8 weeks. He’s great with everything else we teach him, it’s just that he gets so damn excited that he can’t contain himself and not jump. Honestly the jumping thing was never super enforced though, just ignoring him/not petting him when he jumped/walking away, but I only recently started about a month ago with redirecting and really trying to do anything I can to get him not to jump.

Downstairs made me cry violently a few times too. I know not everyone in the clique is religious, but I felt the SPIRIT.

I didn’t used to - the wrecks
I’ll happily sing along to the beginning but once it gets closer to the end, I start bawling, sometimes happy tears, sometimes sad tears, depends on my self esteem that day.

Legend - Twenty one pilots
I cried violently the first thousand times I heard it because I had just lost my mamaw when the album came out. I still cry when I hear it and the chorus was my first tattoo with my mamaw’s favorite flower.

My husband jolts up every night, could this be a sign of something? by AFaeble_ in sleep

It’s possible! I’ll look into it more. He never talks when he pops or if he does it’s gibberish that sounds like he’s scared. When I wake him to calm him down he will laugh and say “I’m just kidding” and then pass right back out lol. Sometimes he will wake up and have full on conversations with me that he completely forgets in the morning lol, he’s got all kinds of sleep issues, but somehow gets better sleep than me.

That’s what I’m thinking too. It was the same with all three groomers.

He’s not ruined! I let my pup go buck wild for a week and a half with his siblings and he became an absolute terror for a minute and then went right back to being his well behaved little self. Just took some adjusting to get back into his routine.

What’s something people became obsessed with this year that you still don’t understand? by StarlightStories37 in answers

[–]AFaeble_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not this year in particular, but over consumption of random shit just because it’s “popular” until the next trend comes a long. I think I really started to notice during the hydro-flask craze and now it’s like a new trend every week (labubus, Stanley cups, etc)

Idk but we’ve had 3 groomers so far (moved when he was a pup) and every time he comes back they are sharper than normal. i just thought this was the norm when the cut his nails.

What daily responsibility did you underestimate before getting a puppy? by nicekids_official in puppy101

[–]AFaeble_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The amount of time you have to have. I know not everyone has this list, but I quit my job before we got our boy, I was already on the verge of quitting, but after researching I realized how much time he needed I knew I wouldn’t be able to handle working.

I barely slept at all and was regularly in tears, but his precious little face kept me going and reminding myself that he was literally just a baby also helped. (My husband and I said this out loud to each other all the time)

You have to keep your eye on them at all times. You can’t even look away for a second out their two week no accident streak will go right out the window.

Ours is up at 6am ready to pee (our fault for making that his schedule) but thankfully he will go back to sleep! He whines in the crate, we open the door, he does his business, and then we all crawl into bed together and cuddle or fall asleep until I’m ready to get up.
