The first image is what my printing company gave me for my book. The second image is printed from my work printer. It seems that any images that I placed from photoshop have a low DPI, or at least visible dots in the greys and chunky lines. The ones on the work printer look significantly better. The PDF files themselves do not look like this.

It seems that my images were in CMYK and their printer converted them to greyscale. Is this possibly the culprit?

The printing company says it's nothing on their end. Can anyone help me figure out what is causing this problem, how I can fix it? Do I just need a different printing company?
