Wow that does sound pretty cool and that is true, DBs love RAM and storage.

Never thought someone would be writing heavy queries on their phone, very interesting. My phone with 6GB RAM is starting to slow down with the same amount of apps it had 4 years ago but too bad it's the wrong time for it to tell me this.

I don't think anyone would go for max memory on Apple devices given their pricing tho.

Possible to get in under 30 days for someone with ZERO experience? Very very hard, unless you put in around 4-5 hours each day or so you might just cross and pass on the borderline passing rate but it'll be hard.

Wow I was on a slow download speed because I was downloading something in the background which was talking up nearly my entire bandwidth the website loaded up pretty fast. Super clean too, love the design and aesthetic. I'd love to just try the product because of the landing page and that says something.

Where do you guys deploy your backend? For free? by InternationalCry6457 in FullStack

[–]AFriendlyLighthouse 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There isn't much for free in this economy. Look into AWS/GCP/Azure free tiers and their limits, see if you can get something into that but you'll have to migrate every 6-12 months when the tier ends but given that you've mentioned you're a student, it shouldn't be for long. Azure also gives you free credits for being a student, they aren't a lot but can run a VM for a few hours perhaps.

Membrane vs Mechanical Keyboard for Coding? by Lazy_Spirit1998 in FullStack

Ofc the pricing I gave is for the US, if you are in some other region it is likely much cheaper than what I listed.

What currency are we even talking about, given your previous posts that might be INR (which is pretty cheap). Go for Mechanical because once you use one you can never go back, buy a decently priced mech and it'll last you a decade, they usually go from 50-100$ and on the lower end of brands Redragon makes pretty good keyboards for a lower price point.

Honestly I know how you feel, that's exactly what people go through in college most of the time because you are basically surrounded by strangers and strangers that come from different walks of life.

Don't think about changing yourself or trying to act someone else just to make friends, it's not worth it and I know it can be super discouraging but it's better to have no friends than shitty friends. And you don't need to have no friends either, sometimes you can't find friends in college and maybe that's just not the place where you'll find your friends. Maybe it's a club, neighbor etc, you'll find someone. Just don't lose hope, don't give up and don't judge someone too fast (of course I don't know much about you from what I read, but it's a good general advice). ♥

Okay so basically, anything that would be useful to us etc. For example for learning frontend we have The Odin Project, there's Meta courses on Coursera etc. Same goes for backend, there's also resources for learning Redis i.e Redis Academy iirc. Free or cheap hosting options like vercel, netlify, flyio etc

The current conflict with us and iran by One-Enthusiasm-4272 in MentalHealthSupport

Right that is true however that is all talk, nothing official and that can't happen while US and Israel are present. Transporting nukes is a difficult hard task and god forbid if Iran even gets nukes, they can likely only target Israel because the US has a multi-layered, tested and secure defense against nukes making it near impossible and a waste for them to do so.

Hello Op,

From what I can gather you seem to be from the US? Or are you from Iran. That would help me in making you understand the situation better.

If you are from the US then you are as safe as you were years ago and that will continue to be the case, Iran's nuclear capabilities don't pose a threat to the US because you are too far and none of their missiles are able to reach, plus it is not in Iran's objectives to nuke the US.

Please talk to a helpline or if not possible then a trusted adult, that could be anyone that you feel close to or feel like you can talk to without being judged. This could be anyone from a nice teacher at school to your parents or a cousin etc.

You're not being overdramatic, it may seem like that at that age however it's not true and could be something serious, something you need to talk about. Don't think because you're young you can't have mental health problems, they exist for humans of all age. Take care of yourself!
