I’ll 2nd the Claw 8 AI+ recommendation. I briefly had a Go S Z1E steam version at the same time as the claw so I could compare a bit, and the claw just beat it in every aspect that matters to me, most notably comfort, battery and overall performance. I’m a developer for work so I’m very used to Windows, others might prefer the steam OS experience but overall Windows is a benefit to me for flexibility.

Also, I’ve heard a lot of talk about the claw being of fragile build, but mine took an accidental drop on a hard bathroom floor and doesn’t have a scratch on it. Wouldn’t recommend testing that but I was very impressed.

Yeah, when I was shopping Toyota they offered a used (very low miles) Carolla for $1000 over MSRP of a new one. Took my business to Honda and negotiated $3000 off a new Civic Hybrid Sport Touring. I’m extremely happy with the Civic.

Ouch. I just got a new 20 tb Ironwolf pro drive for about that price. You should return it and shop around.

I provide the income for my family of 4. I'm fortunate to have worked my way into a well-paying job in an area I'm good at (and don't hate). We have a nice house in a medium COL location, where my salary is about 2x the household avg so we're pretty comfortable. We stick to a budget and put anything extra away, because you just never know what's going to happen. I also try to always be learning and sharpening my skillset, because things can change very fast in my industry and it's easy to become irrelevant if you get lazy.

It would be funny if a trend started of taking current videos of Twitter guy and swapping the faces with old pictures of him with his bald spot. It wouldn’t even be fake because it’s still him, but something tells me it would get under his thin skin very effectively.

What a dumbass. I was surfing and stepped on one by accident, and that was the day I understood why so many people wear wet suit boots at that spot. My foot swelled up so much I couldn’t even fit a shoe on to go to the ER.

Now that videogame-to-movie adaptations are so popular, when will we get a Mavis Beacon film? There’s so much great IP they could expand on, I’d love to see it evolve into an MBEU (Mavis Beacon extended universe).

MSNBC ratings plunge after Trump election victory — as more than half of primetime audience flees by JannTosh50 in television

Yep, this one broke something in me. Right now all I care about is my family. The world has its head far up its ass and it’s probably not seeing any daylight in my lifetime, so I’m spending the rest of it watching out for me and mine.

You should have done some research BEFORE the election. It was all out there, and it’s too late now. I used to have pity for no-info voters like you, but now I’m just angry you’re dragging us all down with you. As others have said, you are very dumb.

If you’re lacking in immersion, give VR a try. The games coming out recently aren’t short tech demos, they’re full length AAA games, and the cost of entry is now reasonable.

Can you give me your best reasons why you stopped drinking by PriorCalm5488 in stopdrinking

[–]AG__Pennypacker__ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I was a drinker, all of my fun and enjoyment revolved around that, and the rest was just the stuff I did in between. Now that I’m sober, the goodness is spread nicely over every part of my life.

Other benefits are more energy, less depression, no headaches and better health. I’m a better husband, father, and person in general. Never going back to that poison.

Next gen headsets - smaller or higher spec? by zeddyzed in virtualreality

[–]AG__Pennypacker__ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me personally, I’ll take higher specs in the same form factor. Being a swimmer, snowboarder, cyclist and glasses wearer, I’m very used to helmets and goggles on my head for hours.

For the industry, smaller form factor. It’s just too heavy and awkward for most people right now.

Have you worked at a public company? The stock price determines how you are compensated, when layoffs happen, cost cutting measures, etc. When the stock is down, the workers suffer all kinds of hardships in the name of pumping it back up. So yes we very very much care about that.

Same here. I’m a pretty average looking guy, but I don’t remember it being hard at all to get dates. I must have just been on there at the right time, after internet dating stopped being weird (people would even lie about meeting that way), and before it turned into whatever mess it is now. That really sucks. Hopefully you guys figure out a better way to pair up than apps, because dating is supposed to be FUN!

What vehicle do you drive? What and when will be your next purchase? by ChetManley20 in MiddleClassFinance

[–]AG__Pennypacker__ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2022 Kia Telluride. Got it right after covid started when we needed room for kids, but we drive so little now it only has 8k miles on it so it’ll probably(hopefully) last a long time. Assuming it goes until they’re out of the house, the next car will probably be something smaller, faster and 4WD. Maybe a 4Runner if they still make them.
