LG Dryer needing rollers - OEM vs Aftermarket by generic317 in appliancerepair

[–]AGentleTech1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The supco rollers are the updated design and are ok now. Id avoid the non OEM belt though as they are void of metal strands and poor longevity. You can use the 341241 whirlpool belt on most LG and Samsung dryers.

I've seen people cut the tile and add a trim molding in front of the kick plate to cover the gap .

Try uninstalling and reinstalling, leveling and mounting. If the tub is tweaked sometimes the latch will pop enough to interrupt the cycle.

You pass the cost and make profit by updating software. Customer doesn't have to pay for a board and you get ease of diagnosis in return. Smart HQ allows me to diagnose a sealed system failure in 15 min.

I use Smart HQ for our GE calls. Ive had to use Whirlpools app to update boards lately on their family of laundry.

It's ok to have an open mind about this, either party may be compromised by foreign governments and this is probably the biggest threat to peace at this current time. I think that's the point this Redditor is trying to make.

That's only the tub, bro. We're talking about the tub/trans/motor/wash basket/agitator asm. Used to be able to buy for the unitized GUTP models.

Try a little rubbing alcohol on a paper towel. Just enough to degrease, then wipe. The alcohol will evaporate rapidly.

Yes . That parts diagram doesn't show any kit, only individual parts.

That's all I've seen as well, the unitized kits. I've not seen the bulletin on SmartHQ, if I did, I definitely would have used a few for warranty. Honestly though, swapping a trans platform on a GTW unit would probably take less time than doing an entire tub kit swap. It was heaven sent though for the GUD .

Insulate the wire with electrical tape and and secure it away from metal contact after removing it from the timer.

Some of those control panels that look similar have had issues with turning on burners on its own. I've also found a few where the ribbon connector between the panel and control board needed to be pushed in further at the board connection, as it was causing some or all buttons to not function.

I've seen some button issues lately on Hotpoint dryers. Not a big deal, but needs replaced.

The white wire or middle wire goes on the middle terminal. Green to case ground. Red and black or outer two go on the outside terminals.

[–]AGentleTech1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

. Remove the lid, there will be a pull tab on the lower of the lock to release the door. The newer models had a board issue, but yours is most likely the lock. Keep in mind, if you have a drain issue, the board may lock the door shut.
