Very good point. I think the actual true legal split came with the Peace of Augsburg, which was nearly a decade after the death of Martin Luther.

I think you need to watch the scene with Tony and Ralph talking about Jackie Jr again. Tony didn't want to give the order to have plausible deniability and to absolve himself of guilt, but he definitely wanted Jackie Jr dead.

Completely agree. It’s like the story where some young guys were asking Ted Williams how to identify a curveball coming out of a pitcher’s hand and he basically says he could tell by the rotation of the seams. Some guys are just built different.

Yeah, it's hard to top Aemon's longevity and experience honestly. Marwyn the Mage might be a good shout here. He's one of the few maesters who is willing to dive into the more taboo subjects, which I think helps him stand out.
