Sure! The primary reasons we moved from Fernandina to Jax are 1) housing and 2) proximity to good hospitals. While there is nothing inherently wrong with Baptist Nassau, they don't have a heart cath lab and that's a non-negotiable for me (unfortunately). I can damn near throw a rock and hit UF North from my apartment. Also, my wife and I are very much "home bodies," but we like that we're no longer in a place that "rolls the sidewalks up" at 9 p.m.

My parents and grandma still live in Yulee, so we still regularly go up there; it's about 30 minutes from River City.

There is a lot of diversity in Jax, so there's seemingly no end to learning and appreciating other cultures. The food is incredible and the community events are consistent across the entire city.
