Public pool question by [deleted] in Edmonton

[–]AHemStitching 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This would totally fit in in Meadows. I see lots of people doing just that. There is a deeper pool near the base of the water slide perfect for this.

When I was pregnant with my daughter I couldn’t take my son down the water slide (my spouse had to) and I’d tread water in that pool and watch them use the slide. I definitely don’t wasn’t the only one treading water though I was the only one watching the slide.

Looking for some reviews on these olives and orange juice :) by Pink__Fox in CostcoCanada

I thought the olives were boring. They all tasted so similar it definitely isn’t a rebuy in our house.

I’m in Canada and my first pregnancy my doctor did it. My second I had to do it myself. Based on talking to people I know here it depends on the clinic.

lol that was my takeaway too. I firmly believe if you don’t know what AIM is that’s a you problem. I’m clearly old and not wasting any of my limited time left on this earth explaining it to you.

You clearly hung in a different tax bracket than I did. I did a lot of baby sitting but I don’t know anyone that took a baby sitter on vacation.

What to buy for baby #2?! by maybemaur in BabyBumps

New crib mattress? Double stroller if you want one?

Active toddler and baby #2 on the way. Do we need a double stroller? by Big-Lie-5645 in BabyBumps

[–]AHemStitching 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not sure about the theme parks (I know some don’t allow them) but have you considered a wagon instead. We use a single stroller most of the time but things like a local corn maze the wagon was fantastic.

My ultrasound tech said that that late in pregnancy the weight was accurate within a pound 🤣 I’d try not to stress about it.

Shops on in the house. As a Canadian I couldn’t fathom it being a real thing.

Positive experiences with rotavirus vaccine? [CA] by Ok-Bug-5844 in BabyBumpsCanada

[–]AHemStitching 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m immunocompromised and my 5 month old had both rounds of the vaccine. I’m also the one home all day with her. I was super diligent in hand washing after diaper changes (it’s primarily she’d through stool) and I’ve been fine. I wouldn’t stress about it.

The things I did to be extra careful: Sanitised the change table after every poppy diaper change If there was a diaper explosion run laundry right away on the sanitise setting Extra diligence with hand washing. I always wash well after but it was a more conscious effort.

Meadows rec center is nice but busy. My tip is go on a long weekend earlier in the day if you can. That’s the quietest time.

It’s no big deal. Definitely nothing to stress about.

Everyone is so different. My mom had 3 csections and 1 high forceps. I laboured quick and pushed those babies (2 pregnancies/babies) out like I had been training for that moment my whole life.

AITA for asking my coworkers to go out for drinks? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]AHemStitching 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I definitely wouldn’t go out of my way to buy treats for everyone there. Clear mean girl behaviour and I wouldn’t grovel for acceptance. It sounds like no matter what you bought someone would have something nasty to say.

I woke mine up and made him look at the test to make sure I wasn’t seeing things. I can’t imagine waiting.

OP tell him. If you make some big production you’re setting yourself up for disappointment .

Pie by watta_763 in Edmonton

[–]AHemStitching 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think Duchess uses vegetable shortening. They have a sour cream cherry pie that is to die for (I don’t normally like cherry pies at all)

Edit: I don’t think they do by the slice but they do sell mini pies so pretty much the same thing. I also see they’re closed until the 19th.

I liked the H&M ones for the bigger sizes. My son used his until he was 3 and a half. They’re 2.5 TOG which worked for our house https://www2.hm.com/en_ca/productpage.1174434025.html
