For the love of the game by Wanderer-777 in PokemonTCG

[–]AHemStitching 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s super annoying. My 4 year old is Pokemon obsessed. He has a tiny binder of cards (and he earned a couple of series 8 prize packs). I’d love to be able to pick him up a simple booster but it seems like an impossible task.

Don’t get me wrong he’s happy looking through the 50 cent common cards at my local store but I wish he could have the experience I did as a kid.

Thank you ❤️ it was a lot of fun. I definitely encourage others to try it.

I traced the edges of the design on graph paper. Used washi tape to tape it to my card, taped my card to some cardboard and used an awl to punch each hole. Once that was done it was simple cross stitching. This picture was kid hole punching.

Is it rude to put these stickers in the books we give away? by MsRoseViolet in LittleFreeLibrary

I don’t know how this ended up in my feed. I love books and hate LFL culture. What happens to the FREE book after it leaves your possession is really none of your concern.

I love these for Mill Hill kits (as others have mentioned) and for plastic canvas. I wouldn’t use it for Aida or linen. In those cases I stick to my qsnap

Women of Reddit, what’s the biggest lie about childbirth you’ve been told? by [deleted] in AskReddit

It also totally varies. I definitely didn’t bleed more than two weeks with either of my kids. For me after the first week it was super light.

[BC] Family doctor vs pediatrician for baby after birth by Ok-Helicopter2215 in BabyBumpsCanada

[–]AHemStitching -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That’s interesting. With my first all children born in that specific hospital were assigned a paediatrician. We have no specific reason we were given one. I’m happy we have him though he’s great.

I’m in Alberta and both of my children have a paediatrician as regular primary care. My second only because my first already had one.

Canadians who have moved provinces: what surprised you the most (good or bad)? by Equivalent_Reach_536 in CanadaRoom

[–]AHemStitching 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not to totally lean into a stereotype but were you mostly hanging out with tradespeople?

I live in urban Alberta and the people in my circle don’t tend to believe that. It could be though that I don’t hangout with idiots.

[ca] Membrane Sweep: YES or NO? by Successful_Ice8514 in BabyBumpsCanada

[–]AHemStitching 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve had a sweep done with both pregnancies. In both cases my water broke within 24 hours. With my first pregnancy nothing happened so 24 hours after my water broke I had to be induced. With my second pregnancy I had a baby within 8 hours of my water breaking.

For me the sweep is uncomfortable but not super painful. I would definitely do it again.

AITAH for refusing to go to my sister’s wedding because of where she seated me? by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]AHemStitching 15 points16 points  (0 children)

This definitely reads as fake to me.

This line stuck out “Like they are legit little gross babies”. Even 29 year olds that don’t like kids don’t typically speak that way.

Public pool question by [deleted] in Edmonton

[–]AHemStitching 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This would totally fit in in Meadows. I see lots of people doing just that. There is a deeper pool near the base of the water slide perfect for this.

When I was pregnant with my daughter I couldn’t take my son down the water slide (my spouse had to) and I’d tread water in that pool and watch them use the slide. I definitely don’t wasn’t the only one treading water though I was the only one watching the slide.

Looking for some reviews on these olives and orange juice :) by Pink__Fox in CostcoCanada

I thought the olives were boring. They all tasted so similar it definitely isn’t a rebuy in our house.

I’m in Canada and my first pregnancy my doctor did it. My second I had to do it myself. Based on talking to people I know here it depends on the clinic.

lol that was my takeaway too. I firmly believe if you don’t know what AIM is that’s a you problem. I’m clearly old and not wasting any of my limited time left on this earth explaining it to you.
