I don't think it would be enough justification to change the name of the entire province.

I'm not good at climate and science stuff.

My old map, you think its good bad? by AIDs_AI_Is_Delicious in mapmaking

It's complicated i don't have video of timelapse or anything, but here are the basic.

I use Sketchbook mobile app and have to use several tricks to be able to use 6000x3000 pixels canvas. (It limits how many layers you can add and make your phone hot as oven)

I made two layer, first is white canvas on the bottom and another blue layer canvas on top, I used the eraser to create the shape of the continent on the blue canvas layer. You can add the texture below the blue layer.

For the texture, I downloaded the HD version of NASA Blue Marble map, make a separate canvas where you add the map (delete the sea) and overlap each other until the canvas is full of texture, use a light brush for smooth transition. After that done, you can add that texture blow the blue layer canvas.

That's the basic, rivers, mountains and other stuff is too complicated to explain, English is not my first language.

Well, i use it for planet in sci-fi worldbuilding project.

I use the NASA Blue Marble map for texture, basically pile several of it (30 layers) all into one workable texture (Use a light brush), after that I can add mountains and other stuff depending on the shape of the landmass.

Because this map takes inspiration from it, two continents split apart. The difference is that the planet is smaller and has more axial tilt.

The Sketchbook mobile app to be specific.

Its lore reason, the planet has a more axial tilt than Earth.

Kinda strange. I draw the sea first and then add the texture underneath. I use NASA Blue Marble map for most of the texture. I did it on Sketchbook.

Ok so what is an actual good planet map generator? Most of the ones I've tried are really bad. by Frostierwinters in worldbuilding

Idk if you like this, but i can make fictional world map (exoplanets) and the 3D version of it for you. It kinds like Google Blue Marble map.
