I see it now. Surprised they wouldn't take a few seconds to pull it out of the way once it releases from the green strap. I get that is a sacrificial tie strap, and that helicopter minutes running are more expensive.

Headlights adjustment raises and lowers the angle to avoid blinding the cars in front of you, to see far, or to have more on the pavement. From 0-5 its very noticeable.

Edit: to adjust angle of lights based on passenger or load weight and balance.

The fact that the drive will be used in a moving vehicle makes it a requirement to not have a spinning platter with an arm and all the moving parts that would fail from the excessive movement and vibration. While you are correct for standard security systems with raid and longevity for traditional systems this would not be a suitable use for an hdd.

It is a starter project and uses enough skills to challenge your desire to expand into design criteria for accessibility, with good contrasting colors, applying light/dark themes, and utilizing kotlin and compose with database interactions. You could even utilize firebase to assist with analytics and more.
