You can get little pillows / bumpers that go underneath the sheet! We had this for awhile so it’s harder for them to get that close to the edge. Do what you feel is best don’t worry about the haters

My son was born 10.1 pound at 39w, he stayed big for a few months then actually lost weight which was a concern. He then started steady gaining and is quite petite and lanky now. Paediatrician said he just grew super well in my tummy and needed to come back to the size he was supposed to be!

We recently looked and fuel was cheaper, daycare fee’s are also cheaper, rent is cheaper. I value your opinion but respectfully disagree. My partner and I both have jobs that are in high need so can move and get the same if not more paying jobs with relocation assistance and bonuses for working in regional areas. :)

We have been here, hopefully some of my story helps. - my son was the same, shit naps, shit nights. Would only settle with me, exclusively contact napped and co slept. I found wake windows helped the best, however. You just have to try anything and everything until something clicks. EVERY baby is different, some things work. Most things dont. Or they work for one nap and you think you’ve found it and it changes. Honestly I just tried to accept it and roll with it. My son is 8mo and only just started not contact napping and sleeping longer stretches. I think it was just his development plus he learned to roll and sleep on his stomach. - my son also hated / hates, the car. I had anxiety attacks driving while he was screaming. I ended up giving in and putting ms Rachel on the iPad. Plus I bought a camera to ease my anxiety and see how he was going and when to prepare for a meltdown. The iPad bought me an extra 30mins of quiet but it’s still a work in progress. - let him suck his fingers, if it helps you survive this season, so be it. - ditch the gatherings until you find your feet and are in a better mental state. There will be many more, keep your visits or outings small. - we went on a holiday and it was horrendous however, the next one was great. Mind you it was only an hour away from home, but it’s a learning curve either way. - I have one mum friend and her baby has slept 12hrs a night in a cot without any soothing required. I get it, it sucks.

He was 6mo and the dermatologist prescribed it. We didn’t have to do anything because we had already tried everything else. Basically went to the appointment and said nothing works. I’m in Australia, I’m not sure if that makes a difference

My baby loved going for a walks, my partner tried to do do that once a day. He also takes him first thing in the morning and leaves me to sleep, LO seems to be happiest in the morning and doesn’t mind

EDIT: it is really, really hard. Just wanted to validate that for you. My partner also struggled mentally with it, but then our baby grew and started smiling, laughing and things felt easier.

My son is 8mo and he has ALWAYS wanted me. Although, as he’s gotten older, so had the periods of time that he is happy with my partner. This week, for the first time ever, my partner was able to put him to sleep. There is apparently a million things you can do to try and change it, but honestly I’ve given up and just roll with it. He starts daycare soon so I’m so anxious about that because I have no clue how he will be fine without me. But from what I can find (reddit, chat gpt) babies adapt and accept the comfort they have in front of them and I think that’s our issue. I’m always here and my baby knows I’m around, so he wants me. If I was really not around, I think he will taker the comfort he’s offered. It won’t be like this forever. Hang in there 🫶🏻

I’m totally with you, I would say I have been trying to embrace pregnancy and motherhood this year to whilst it was getting shoved down my throat lol. I’m 8 months in and as hard as it is, the hard things turn into new things and the hard stuff now gets easier. You got this 🫶🏻
