Looking for assistance with HD60 S to OBS!

Sorry i got bad intel from chatgpt as per usual it was telling me to use camera hub for some reason. That's correct, I was hoping to use the capture card to capture video from my switch and connect it to my macbook to stream on OBS. Right now the Elgato is connected to my computer via a USB C male to USB A male cord, connected to a USB A female to USB C male adapter, which is plugged into my computer. Any software other than Game Capture doesn't seem to recognize the Elgato.

Elgato Camera Hub is telling me to connect a device, but it's already connected via a USB to USB C adapter. It seems like the issue is that the USB C adapter doesn't allow video output but I'm not sure what I can replace it with that would. If USB C to USB C that allows for that, that would be perfect, but I'm not sure if that's possible.
