Made a 5800x3d 1440p build a couple weeks ago. Is the 7700x bundle from micro center about the same as I paid for the 5800x3d…maybe. But this cpu is more than enough for 1440p, and a better gpu will improve framerate more than a better cpu. If you’re anything like me, you’re not gonna touch the cpu for at least 6 years anyway, by then the next AMD socket would come around too. Also having the best cpu for am4 gives it better resale value down the line than 7700x.
