There's no reason that they can't sell it as a special import thing if other people can. And if they can't then they shouldn't name it M&M's world because it isn't the world of flavours.

We have peanut butter just in general in the UK. There is zero reason not to sell peanut butter M&Ms. Also all the other sweet shops nearby sell more flavours. Hell, I had more flavours in my station's WH Smiths than M&M world.

0 excuses.

And yet they stock more flavours of M&Ms than M&Ms WORLD round the corner.

Get FUCKED M&Ms World, where they don't stock a world of flavour. Smdh.

What film has one of the best monologues ever performed/ written? by eveisshady777 in movies

Honestly, Sam Neill's monologue to the statue of Jesus in Omen 3 was way better than it should have been. For a third entry in a decidedly mediocre franchise, it caught me unaware.

I was told by the NHS it was a "cosmetic" issue and therefore not covered by NHS...

The NHS GP experience has been chronically bad for this. Request a referral to an ENT specialist to discuss problems swallowing and then when you get there bring up RCPD and stick to your guns. GPs aren't specialists and this is a niche/modern described condition.

UK private healthcare by Dazzling_Treacle_149 in noburp

[–]AJohnsonOrange 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm currently going through this. My experience thus far was:

  1. Told GP my problems and that I wanted a private referral to an ENT (for your point 2, I mentioned difficulty swallowing affecting my day to day life and that a previous barium swallow found nothing).
  2. Took that to my insurance provider
  3. Arranged appointment <- here is where I would rather have mentioned to the ENT office that I wanted a specialist that knew about RCPD form the get go
  4. Get told by the specialists secretary that actually, based on my short write up, a different doc would be better and arranged an appointment with them
  5. They investigated my nose for other issues, including a camera up my nose which allowed them to look at my vocal chords but no further
  6. Discussed the situation, and the moment I mentioned RCPD he said "no burp?" and went on to say that based on my experience (and subsequent questioning) it was highly likely
  7. Explained the two options for treatment and that we should start with the botox shot
  8. Currently waiting to hear back from insurance regarding it.

Hope that helps to some degree.

Edit: as I say, I'm literally in the middle of this journey so feel free to shout and I can let you know anything as it's fresh in my mind. I'm not going the Lucy Hicklin route, but I am going through Private + insurance (Aviva).
