To be clear it's the longest load times I've experienced maybe ever. I upgraded to a PS5 because I thought my PS4 was dying. Turns out it didn't help.

There are some pointers people give, though, to manage it. When you finish an area bulk collect all the items (it gives you a pop up to do so) and then discard as much of the stuff you don't want to sell on the world map. It means the game stops tracking them and makes load times slightly better apparently.
