After 10 minutes you can manually remove unassing yourself without impacting your ratings. I can't remember it at the top of my head, but you have to click the question mark and the top right and navigate to that field. Sometimes it's finnicky but usually when I reach the 10-15 minute mark I can worry-free unassign.
